Chapter Text
One day, while watching TV, a man got a call on his phone. “Jack Breyer, this is the FBI. There are innocent citizens being held hostage at the Four Seasons hotel. We need you up there ASAP.” It was the police, and he knew that he had to help. “I’m on it,” he said, before packing up his things and making his way up out of the house.
Upon entering the front of the tower, he immediately noticed what was going on. A huge crowd was formed, news anchors were reporting the situation, and 911 was making sure everyone was okay. As a result, Jack knew this was going to be his most dangerous mission yet. As such, he made his way inside and he was ready to go.
Getting in wasn’t easy. There were criminals around every corner, and he was going to take down all of them. He also spent his time saving hostages who thanked him for his selfless actions. On the elevator to the top of the hotel, he knew he wasn’t going to live forever. It was do or die.
At the top, he saw his wife and three kids tied up to chairs next to a bomb. “Jack! Hurry up before you’ll never see us again.”, his wife, Martha, screamed. It is there he once again saw one of the CIA’s most wanted men, Henry Manville. Once a member of the CIA, he got fired, and he is ready to get revenge.
“Ugh! It’s you again,” he shouted. Henry would never take no for an answer. “Alright you,” he said, pointing an AK-47 at him. “I need you to put your hands in the air.” Henry proceeded to throw Jack’s gun to the street, leaving the latter to only use his bare arms. Martha, nervous, said “Be all that you can be, Jack. We believe in you.”
Enlightened by his wife’s words, Jack and Henry were in a battle. Henry spent time at the gym, but Jack has studied martial arts. Soon, Henry was hanging on the edge. Jack, on top of his hand, said, “Any last words.” Henry responded. “You may have gotten away now, but my henchmen will avenge me, and despite everything you did, they will all hate you eventually. Jack kicked Henry off, and he was now lying dead on the floor.
Using his intelligence, Jack was able to disarm the bomb and save his family. As they went down, they noticed the police arresting criminals who had broken into the hotel. When they got out, they were greeted by everybody, congratulating Jack for his actions. “This is Charlie Arlington from News Channel 5. Jack Breyer, what do you have to say about all of this,” a news reporter told him. He replied, “Well, there is a lot of crime in this world, and I am going to get rid of as much as I can.” Soon, he was hugged by his family.
“That’s a wrap!” As it turns out, the whole thing was just a movie. “Well guys,” the director said, “Everyone did great, and I was really surprised today.” George McKellen, who played Jack Breyer in the movie, said “I’m pretty sure it was because there were no accidents on set, right?” “No, even better,” the director replied. “Your stunt dummy finally did not fail his job for once. Where is that bum, anyway?”
“Right here, sir!” A voice came right in front of the director. Michael Ravitz was always a klutz behind the scenes, but always gets the job done when the camera’s rolling. He also has maintained a healthy relationship with the cast and crew. It’s harder than it sounds when you’re a stunt double for a famous actor. Ian Marlin, the director, spoke to him.
“Michael, you’ve managed to get a hold of yourself and not burn down the set.” Michael replied, “Well, all it takes is hours of practice. Now that filming is done, I can’t wait to see the world premiere.” However, Mr. Marlin had something else in mind. “Yeah, about that. I must go inform the boss about something.” Michael was confused, but nonetheless, excited to see what the future holds. In a few minutes time, a woman went up to him with some news. “Mr. Ravitz, the boss would like to see you now.”
Michael was in the CEO room, waiting for the boss to come out and say something. To put it lightly, he was worried. However, he was still optimistic, even when the boss came in and started lighting up a cigarette. Then he spoke. “Mr. Ravitz, I have some very important news to tell you.” “Has the vending machines gotten more food?”, Michael replied. The boss laughed. “No, you dingbat! You’ve just earned a million dollars, and you are going on vacation to Japan!”
Michael was shocked. A few days ago, the studio held a contest to see who will win a grand price of a million dollars and a trip to Japan. Of course, he was going to participate and hope for the best. He has waited for this moment for all his life. Ever since he was child, he has always wanted to make it big in the film industry. When his parents took him to Universal Studios Hollywood at five years old, he felt inspired. In Hollywood, anyone can be anything. However, he was nervous about leaving California and going to the other side of the world. “But what about my friends and family?,” he inquired. The boss replied, “Don’t worry. Everything will be under control. We sent someone to escort you out of the room.”
That person came through the door. However, he wasn’t a person. No, he was a toon. That toon is none other than SpongeBob SquarePants. Humans and toons don’t usually get along, but SpongeBob is one of the ones pushing to end segregation.
“All right, Mr. Ellison. I’m ready for my close-up,” said the absorbent fellow. The boss replied, “SpongeBob! Thank goodness you’re here. Look, I need you to escort Mr. Ravitz out of here. He’s going to Japan!” “Okie-dokie! I’ll make sure he’s safe and sound!” He held Michael’s hand and they were out of the building and less than a minute. Jimmy Neutron, who was working as a prop boy, was there to help them on their way out. “Goodbye Michael. May your journey be an excellent one.” Michael accidentally bumped into a wall, then he was on his way out.
The news was spreading like wildfire. As Michael and his chaperone walked through the sights and sounds of Hollywood, SpongeBob spoke to the energetic stunt double. “Okay Michael, since you’re going to Japan, I must give you some advice. I go there about twice a year, so you’ve got to know your dos and don’ts.”
“#1. Do know where to get your information about Japan. You don’t want to hear people praising it like it’s Heaven,” he said as Wanda and Cosmo flew in the air.
“#2. Be polite everywhere you go. It would be very rude not to.” Michael accidentally. bumped into Azula, then proceeded to bow at her. He got burned in the process.
“#3. Expect to see a mix of old and new. Japan is a place where traditions are passed down through generations, and technology is constantly evolving. So, expect the unexpected.”
They then came across Chuckie Finster playing with Blue. Michael is good friends them. “Hey guys. I’m gonna be in Japan fir a few months, so you act good while you’re gone. Okay.” Chuckie replied, “Okay, Michael. Good luck and have fun!” Blue barked happily.
It’s not normal for toons to behave. CatDog has been causing a ruckus on set. Rudy has been sneaking off to the ChalkZone. Roger Rabbit has been making a huge mess in Hollywood. He could go on and on.
Once Michael and SpongeBob got to the front of the studio, the two cane across a whole crowd of people. Celebrities, staff, and toons have gathered to say goodbye to Michael. Even those they saw on the way out rushed to get there on time. Danny Phantom, Dora the Explorer, Patrick Star, Pablo the Penguin, Otis, Daria, and many more were there to wish Michael good luck.
As the bus arrived to take him home. SpongeBob said something special. “Michael, despite your clumsiness, you managed to get the job done. More importantly, you made all of us happy. Remember when you stopped Ren and Stimpy from getting dipped? Or when you saved Tom Cruise from breaking his leg? Or when you mopped the break room when it was covered in green slime? You saved lives, and that’s what matters the most. So be safe, good luck, and have fun.”
And with that done, he was on the bus. It wasn’t crowded, and it carried both people and toons. He saw Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on one of the chairs. Nick said “I’m telling you, that k-pop movie deserved the win. We did good out there.” Melman and Gloria were keeping to themselves. Mitsuha Miyamizu was on her phone. Skeletor was playing on a Game Boy alongside G.I. Joe. Emmet was building a Lego castle. Bessie Higgenbottom was twiddling her thumbs. Pokey was keeping his legs strait, and hoping he doesn't melt in the heat.
From young age, Michael has always wanted to go to Japan. He wanted to learn how anime was made, go to arcades in Akihabara, and try out new types of ramen. But most of all, he has always wanted to visit Studio Ghibli. He has always been a fan, ever since he watched My Neighbor Totoro as a baby. He has seen all the movies and knows all the facts. Unfortunately, Hayao Miyazaki died a while ago, and the studio had shut down. Michael watched his funeral when it was broadcast on live TV. He was depressed for a while; but got over it quickly.
At last, he was home. He got off the bus, greeting Rocky and Bullwinkle as they walked by, and got into his house. He was greeted by his dog, a Pomeranian named Leroy, and he walked into his room. He was going to have to leave it alone for a while. Good thing he had a maid. In the morning, it will be the start of things to come.
