Chapter Text
I realize not everyone follows authors on tumblr for updates, so I’m putting this up temporarily as a PSA.
If you liked Puzzles Made of Broken Glass and are interested in reading more, I recommend subscribing to the series (Puzzle Pieces) so you can get the notification when new sequel works come out over the next couple months or years. There are tentatively five planned, with the first chapter of the first sequel currently live as of writing.
1. PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION (10-20k, vibes: chapters 1-4 of Puzzles Made of Broken Glass, i.e. lighthearted slice of life)
Dick, Jason, and Bruce try to channel Tim’s three-raccoons-in-a-trenchcoat ways in slightly less hair-raising directions; some more successfully than others. Jason deals with his coming-of-age existential crisis. Bruce gets a Clue, sort of. Dick’s version of Robin training differs significantly from the Dark Knight’s.
2. SWEAR NOT BY THE MOON (10-20k, lighthearted slice of life)
February in Gotham brings change for the Bats. Jason is cast as Mercutio in his high school production of Romeo and Juliet. Tim’s shipper heart, and his face, receive blows.
3. CRY HAVOC (30k+, vibes: chapters 8-9 or 15 of Puzzles Made of Broken Glass, aka stressful action and questionable decision making)
An old enemy returns to settle a debt. A final confrontation ends in death, self-exile, estrangement, and city-wide tragedy.
4. LIVING ARROWS SENT FORTH (30k+, vibes: chapters 16-17 of Puzzles Made of Broken Glass)
Tim meets his fate on the other side of the world.
5. Untitled, lighthearted slice of life featuring some new (to this verse) faces.
Expect my usual: references to canon events that won’t happen exactly as they did originally, but expect them to rhyme and/or be ruthlessly lampshaded. We’ll be seeing more familiar faces both friend and foe.
As I’ve mentioned, I am working on some big original and personal projects that are and will be taking up a good deal of my time. Progress will be slow, but you can always poke at me in the comments or on tumblr. Wild theories on what’s to come, rereading thoughts, and general questions are always welcomed.
