It's currently Sunday in the afternoon, and that means that a week has passed since you got turned. Despite your worries always finding a way to stray into your mind, you still made sure to take a deep breath and think about the hero who keeps assuring you that he'll bring your body back.
After spending so much moments with the man, it's understandable that it's only a matter of time before you begin to fully trust him. Without realization, you found yourself always remembering Aizawa's words whenever you start thinking such negative thoughts, you immediately think about the hero who's handling your case because you know he'll end this.
That day, the students of Class 1-A are gathered in the common room, lounging around as they talked about their days, how their classmates named Todoroki and Bakugou have yet to get their own provisional license, or any other random things as their conversation flowed seamlessly.
But then their conversation strayed onto Eichi. It is the name that they decided to give you when their Aizawa-sensei brought you to their dorms.
"Even though it's been days since she was here, she's still cautious about us" Mina was whining, her lips were turned into a pout while she remembers the time whenever she would try to catch and snuggle you.
Unfortunately for her, you were always quick to dodge her advances.
Yaoyorozu hums, looking at her friend's distressed state "Maybe she needs to play with cat toys? I can create some, if it means that Eichi will start to trust us" she suggests before offering a smile, Mina was about to squeal excitedly at their Vice President's idea.
But then, their pink-haired classmate's excitement was immediately cut off when Sero spoke up "I don't think Eichi like those"
"Why not? Cats like toys," Kirishima asks, brows quirked up curiously at his friend's suggestion.
"But Eichi doesn't often act like a cat though," he shrugs, his words made the others chuckle as they couldn't deny his words as well.
Yaoyorozu smiles "Maybe it will work this time, toys are great for cats. Small toys can resemble a prey, so Eichi will want to instinctively chase, pounce, and grab them." she explains, Mina was nodding along with her words as she did not want to lose hope.
"Yeah, but the cat's quite odd" Sero was insisting.
Kaminari who's just sitting on the side while on his phone was curious as he listens to the group's conversation, he was paying attention despite being forced charging their phones with his quirk.
"Dude, you had that thought since long ago" Kaminari says, not surprised with Sero's words anymore.
Mina grumbles "Okay, list the things she did that you find weird"
With that, Sero sits up properly in his seat, he was quick to give an example as if these thoughts of his have been pending in his mind for so long "Okay." shrugging, he says.
"Like, when we say something to her. And instead of just immediately ignoring us if she's uninterested, Eichi waits for us to finish talking first as if she can understand us!" he was confident in his words, because Sero has seen this kind of interaction occurring many times.
Whether it's between him and you, or you and his other classmates. The boy finds it unusual, the way the cat would still remain listening to the words as if she can comprehend them. But when he mentions this trait of Eichi, Mina was confused.
With raised brows, she goes "I never even noticed that she does that, you're lying"
Her reply caused Sero to look at her with an offended look, the other listeners at the conversation were chuckling as they listened. But at that moment, the person who was caught off guard with Sero's observation was their Vice President, and this is because she does notice how the cat would often act like that.
She thinks back of the time when she was passing by the kitchen and she sees Ochako leaning down as she spoke to the cat who sat on the table "So you want bacon for dinner? We also have some eggs, but I'm not so sure if you would like that" she says, and Yaoroyozu just watched when the cat left after her classmate finished talking, just leaving Ochako there.
However, that time, Yaoyorozu just waved off that interaction. Even chuckling at the sight of Ochako being left dumb-founded after being left behind by Eichi.
But with Sero's words, she goes back to what happened that time with her brows furrowed "I actually notice it when she does that,"
And the moment she says that, Sero immediately stands up with a look on his face that says 'See? I told you so,' and it's directed right at Mina. With the pink-haired girl accusing the boy of lying earlier, she ends rolling her eyes as Sero was looking proud at someone siding with him.
"I am telling you! Even Yaomomo notices," he claps, he has a wide smile on his face.
Kirishima could only watch in amusement "Man, you're going crazy" he shakes his head.
He lets out a sigh while his friend is left unconvinced "Okay, well here's another one," he starts.
"Eichi would often answer questions," he starts, the others were quick to respond with a burst of cackles and a few chuckles.
Sero groans "Will y'all quit that?"
Mina wipes away the small bits of tears she shed from laughing "Come on, you're doing drugs aren't you?" she teases, making the boy roll his eyes as he mouths "Fuck you," but Mina just smiles sheepishly.
"Alright, give us an example" Kaminari forces out a cough, trying to hold back his laughs.
Sero sighs deeply, before he goes and tells a story that happened a few days ago.
He was alone in the living room, but the only one that kept him company was Eichi. Sero was just on his phone, but when he looked up, the first thing he noticed was how the cat was looking intently outside.
And so he spoke up, talking to the cat as if she would respond "Do you wanna go outside?"
Eichi looks at him, twisting her neck to turn at Sero. And he watches how she suddenly shook her head, and that's when the two of them paused. The silence in the air suddenly became loud, he could hear the birds chirping outside and the voices of his classmates that were in another part of their dorm.
The way the two of their movements suddenly halted with the realization that Eichi really just answered his question, that's when Sero became more convinced of his suspicions for their adopted cat. He watches the way her eyes widened a bit, as if realizing that she didn't mean to give a response.
But it was all too late, you watched as Sero's expression slowly morphed into confusion, he couldn't believe his eyes.
He stands up, pointing at Eichi "You just—" but before he could finish his accusation, you walked away, ignoring the mistake you made.
He's left there alone, wondering if he should believe what he saw or assume that it's because of the coffee he consumed too much that morning.
" That's what happened" he says, looking at the others and wanting them to believe him so badly, and not just stare at him as if he's gone crazy.
When the four heard the story, they didn't know how to react. Sure, they were starting to get suspicious as there's someone who just supported their classmate's assumptions. But it was still too early to confirm it, because what if Sero was just high at this point?
The crowd was filled with silence, Sero was just standing there and waiting for them to agree. He was hoping that there's someone among the four who had a similar experience, someone to back up his story because he swears he's not high.
But then, out of a sudden, Yaoyorozu stood up. She had an excited look on her face "We can ask Koda!"
And when she said that, it was as if a lightbulb had been lit inside their heads. Because of course, how could they not think of their classmates who had an ability to speak to animals, they could just simply have Koda confirm whether there's something wrong with Eichi. He could even speak to her!
With that, they went on a journey in the halls of their dorms to go and find him. Fortunately, it was just a short search as he's actually just in his own room, minding his own business of peace until the five of them arrived.
"What are you guys doing here?" he asks nervously, opening the door wide enough as he ushers them to enter.
Without a second thought, the five of them did so as the guy welcomes them in, he looked a bit shy as he watched his classmates look around the room a bit in awe. As if they haven't seen it before when they decided to have a tour of each and every one of their classmate's room to rate. When they finally remembered what they were there for, they finally snapped out of it.
It was Kirishima who spoke up first "So we were wondering, have you ever tried speaking to Eichi before?" he asks, tilting his head curiously.
'Come to think of it, most of us are aware of how Koda is pretty fond of animals... and yet I've never seen him interact with Eichi' as their red-haired classmate asked that question, Yaoyorozu had that thought in her head, she observed and noticed how Koda paused when Kirishima mentioned their cat.
But it seems she wasn't the only one who noticed "Hm, you've never spoken to Eichi, Koda?" Mina walks up and stands beside their Vice President, she was looking at him curiously.
Almost all of them were very curious, Kaminari stopped charging the phones he's holding onto, while the others stared at Koda with an investigating look on their faces. Koda was wondering what brought them to suddenly be filled with curiosity about their cat, and the way they were overwhelming him with their gaze caused him to just stand there awkwardly.
"W- is there something wrong with Eichi?" that's the first thing he said, raising his hands up to try and calm the others a bit.
They finally realized how overly inquisitive they've become, making most of them just back up a bit while the others chuckled.
Sero shook his head "She's fine, we were just talking about something" he says, his answer makes Koda slowly nods.
With that, he finally answers their questions "Well, I've never really spoken to our cat before" he says, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
Because of his answer, the surprised expression on their faces cannot be contained.
"Really? Why? I thought you liked animals," Kaminari reacted, making Koda awkwardly chuckle.
"I do! It's just that," he trailed off his words, noticing the way their brows were raised as they waited for his reason. Koda forces out a cough "I can't speak to Eichi." he says.
It was getting weird from the point of view of the students, their brows furrowed as the suspicion was finally spreading. It started from Sero's convincing, Yaoyorozu's realizations, and Koda's words.
"You mean, your quirk doesn't work on her?" Yaoyorozu was shocked, and so were the others.
They couldn't understand how Koda is unable to converse with their cat, as if it can erase his quirk.
"See, I told you she's weird" such words were spat out from Sero, making Koda start wondering what kind of conversation they had in the first place.
Kirishima lets out a chuckle before suggesting "Hey, maybe she's just dumb so she doesn't really talk"
"And yet, she shook her head when she answered my question that one time!" he bites back, seriously wondering why his friends were still in-denial.
"Maybe you were dreaming," Kaminari was laughing at his face with Mina, and Koda was left there as his classmates remained inside the contains of his own private room.
"Listen, if we're really serious about this, then should we just tell Aizawa-sensei?" Yaoyorozu starts to suggest, her idea made Sero nod vigorously.
"But wait, speaking of Eichi,"
Kirishima speaks up once again, catching everyone's attention as his classmate's heads turned to him "Have ya'll seen the cat?"
Earlier
You passed by the common room, the students were talking about you without even realizing that the devil is just near to their presence.
"Yeah, but I still find Eichi quite odd" you hear Sero's words, making you pause your walking for a bit before glaring at the back of his head 'Kids these days,' you thought to yourself.
However, a scent caught your attention, making you flick your head to wherever the direction it's coming from. You feel your nose perking up as you sniffed the air, it's something familiar.
Your eyes strayed, you saw the way the door was slightly ajar. That's when you began to wonder if you should try to find the source of the scent. It's been days since you went outside, you believe that the last time was when you had that interview with Aizawa.
You haven't been going out since. Seeing the sight of the students and the hero you're staying with looking like giants, you think that that's enough to deal with. Even though it's been days since you got turned, you're still not used to seeing people looking so humongous.
But this time, curiosity got the better of you. It felt like this scent is leading you to something important, it's familiar and yet you couldn't pinpoint as to when and where you've smelled it before exactly. It left you bothered.
'Might as well toughen up and go find out,' was what you thought, and now you found yourself walking out the door.
Your nose perked up once again, you followed the scent. It wasn't that hard to do so, the keen sense of smell of felines was helping, and you were honestly impressed. Without realization, you've strayed so far from where you came from that you don't notice how your surroundings were quickly changing.
It's how the instincts of the animal you're stuck in was causing you to quickly jump around, moving swiftly from one place to another. Before, you were surrounded with a bunch of buildings from the school of UA. Now, you're on the side of the road and you're still unaware that you're wandering too far from safety.
It was all too late when you finally realized, it was all too late when you hear those words from above, and it was all too late when you've finally come to a realization as to where you've smelled that familiar scent before.
"Well, if it isn't the curious lady I turned into a mouser"
Aizawa hears a knock on his door, breaking his focus from his computer.
"Aizawa-sensei?" he hears a muffled voice behind the door.
He knows that it's probably from one of his students, he looks up from his computer with a frown.
'What now?' he thinks to himself as he lets out a small grumble of frustration, still he couldn't just outright ignore his students.
And so he stood up, walking up to the door and opening it. He squints as he adjusted his eyes to the bright light from outside of his room, he looks down and sees it's Mina who had a worried look on her face.
Aizawa's temple furrowed in curiosity "What's wrong?" he asks, he notices how Mina's frown deepened.
"We can't find Eichi," she says, making Aizawa look even more confused.
He hears the name that they decided to give you, and thinks back about the time when you told him about it with a small grin on your kitty face. He widely opens the door before he finally lets himself out, Mina stepped back a bit to give his teacher some space.
"What do you mean?" he asks once again, his eyes began to look around to check about the cat they're talking about.
Mina lets out a sigh, she looks uneasy "We just noticed that we haven't seen her since this morning, so we started looking around" she says, she looks up and notices some of her classmates peeking after she lost the rock-paper-scissors, leading her to knock at their teacher's doors to tell him about the news.
It's not that they're afraid of disturbing their teacher, it's that the students notice how their Aizawa-sensei was quite close to Eichi. They guessed that it's because it was him who found the cat in the first place, or maybe that he just likes cats in general.
But the students just can't deny how Aizawa would often willingly take care of Eichi. Or more like, you. They see him feeding you, you're together in the middle of the night at the kitchen when they tried to sneak out for whatever, or when he speaks to you without noticing that someone was there to witness it.
So for someone to tell their Aizawa-sensei that they couldn't find you, it was quite nerve-wracking.
But truly, Aizawa was yet to take their worries seriously "Maybe she's just wandering around," he was about to turn and enter his room once again.
But Mina stopped him in time "We already searched everywhere!" she says, making him stop his movements before looking at Mina "We really can't find Eichi, Aizawa-sensei!"
His student's insistent words made him nervous, making him enter his room . Mina watched from outside, the door was left open, making her see the way her teacher was quick to open the CCTV cameras around the Class 1-A's dorms.
And there, he sees you.
Waltzing outside, seeing as you seem to be searching for something before you were quick to stray far enough, to the point that the cameras couldn't catch you anymore. The sight made Aizawa sweat-drop, it wasn't soon until he found himself walking outside of his room to leave.
"I'll go look for L/n, you all stay here" he says, he exits the dorms and immediately closing the doors behind of him.
The students are left inside, watching the way their Aizawa-sensei slowly vanished from their sight as they observed from outside of the windows.
But there was another thing that stuck with them.
"L/n?"
Your angered mewls were let out as the man from before chokes you down the floor, the feet of your paws try to scratch him away, but it was all futile as he smiles down at you. From this angle and the way that there was still light from the scenery of the sun setting, you could finally see his face clearly. It was just like back then, you're in an alleyway, it seems like he's making it his theme.
He had some dark blue hair, some rough stubbles on his chin while there was a vertical scar that crossed his left eye. And you wondered if that's from his other victims, people that he turned into an animal.
'Let go of me!' you thought to yourself as you continued scratching him.
"Who would've thought that we would meet again? To think you would find yourself back to me," he says, smirking down at you.
You wanted to smack that face of his, you swear that you'll imprint what he looks like in your mind, with the hopes that the authorities will finally get him and arrest him. Currently, you're feeling a sense of deja vu as you wondered if you'll even get to live to tell someone about the dangers of this man.
"Since you seem to have missed me, I have an idea" he says, he had that crazy look in his eyes that caused a chill to run down your spine.
"Meoooow meooow!"
'What are you up to now?!'
"Since you wanna know, then fine. I'll tell you," he responded.
His words made you pause, he was quick to catch onto the obvious surprised look on your face. He starts to nod "Yeah, I can understand you. Every human I turn, I can understand them" he explains, smiling widely.
"Anyways!" his grip onto your neck tightened a bit, making you snap yourself out of your long pause to try and loosen his grip onto yours once again. But it was still hard to do so "My plan is to keep you to myself," he starts.
His words made you confused, you're aware that it's anything but good though. You felt your breath quicken, looking around to see if there's anyone there. But just like that night, there was no one. No matter how loud you yell, no one appears.
"Every time I will notice that your true form is about to return, I'll turn you into another animal once again." he speaks up, telling you his plan. And with each word he says, your eyes widen.
"What would you like to be, hm?" he grins, tilting his head as if you would really give a serious answer in the first place "A mouse? A roach? Oh! Or maybe a dog this time?" he says, he looked so demented in your eyes, watching him laugh out loud to himself.
"We'll think of a long list later. With that, you'll slowly start to forget what it was like to even be human," he suggested, and you start to feel tears at the corners of your eyes.
Because is that possible? It's what you feared in the first place. For you to get too comfortable in this form, to the point that you will start to forget your life before. And now that you're hearing someone else suggesting it, encouraging it, and planning how to go through with it... you can't help but fear your own future.
He stops laughing, wiping away the happy tears that he shed with his free hand "For now, let's make you fly, I'll turn you into a sparrow"
It was as if he moved in slow motion from your point of view, the way his hand slowly covered your whole face just like back then. And that's when you closed your eyes in fear, expecting his hand to glow once again.
But a second passes by.
Five seconds.
Ten seconds.
Nothing happens.
You peeked through his hand, you saw how his expression morphed into a state of confusion. It seems he does not have any idea as to why his quirk suddenly stopped working, and that's when you had a realization.
Your eyes snapped to the entrance of the alley, and there you see a silhouette of a familiar figure. His hair was afloat, and you saw how the only thing you can see on his face was his glowing red eyes.
'Aizawa!'
The fear that settle inside your heart was pushed away, replaced with hope. You watched as he started to run towards the both of you, the villain tries to move away. But just as when he was about to stand and turn to escape, he tripped.
"Fuck!" he yells out in frustration and panic, he looks down to see what caught his legs.
The villain was shocked to see what seemed like a cloth, but it was strong enough that he couldn't try and take it off. The grip was strong, he turns and tries to crawl away, but he was only pulled back.
You watch the scene play in front of you, your throat was stinging a bit from the grip the villain had on you before. But it was unnoticeable when you can only focus at how Aizawa is catching the villain that was unstoppable in your eyes before.
Eraserhead picks him up before slamming him to the wall, the villains chokes at the man's strong grip and the way his back strongly striked onto the hard partition. He tries to scratch and loosen the grip the man had on him, but to no avail.
Seeing that it did not work, his hands comes up to try and use his quirk on the hero. But Eraserhead's hands moved fast enough, his free hand went to grip on the man's wrist, you hear a snap before the man yells out in pain.
"J- just let me go, please!"
Before you knew it, he started to beg as tears streamed at the corner of his eyes. Unlike earlier, it was not from him excessively laughing at your pitiful state, it's from the fact that he was finally caught.
Eraserhead's voice was muffled as he speaks through his mask "You should've thought about changing your ways before causing trouble."
You found yourself within the comforts of Aizawa's arms as he walks to the dorms, you're exhausted and your eyes were half-lidded. Even though you can easily sleep at that moment, you still can't help but stay awake while thinking on the man's words when he was questioned.
The villain was apprehended and before he was put behind bars, he was interviewed. What's included in the questions was when you'll be able to return to your original form. At that moment, you were listening to his words that echoed through the speakers as he's interrogated in the next room, seeing how it's going through the one-way mirror.
"A week had already passed since you've turned her, despite saying that she'll likely return to her original form in nearly a week. Those were words you said, according to Ms. L/n," it's Mr. Kuroda from before, he says with a stern tone.
The villain has a bored look on his face, yet he looked pathetic as his eyes were swollen from all his crying earlier "And?"
Mr. Kuroda lets out an annoyed sigh "When will she get her body back?" he asks.
He paused, before speaking "She'll get her body back... maybe two days from now,"
The other had a serious expression "You're not sure?" and the villain only shakes his head at his question.
"Why did you believe that she was going to get her body back after nearly a week?" Mr. Kuroda asks once again.
The villain answered "I estimated it, it was not an accurate prediction" he says, before he turns to the mirror.
Your eyes widened when he smiles, it was as if he knows that you were behind it. That you're listening.
"But careful, what if you'll just never get your body back?" he shook his head, wide-eyed and his tone sounded like he was mocking you.
You snapped out of it, shaking your head as you pushed the memory from earlier out of your head. You know that he was just trying to make you feel uncomfortable, to still get ahold of you with fear.
But what if...
"You have a lot in your mind,"
Looking up, you see that Aizawa's eyes were straight ahead as he continued walking on the way to the Class 1-A's dorms. The sight of him calmed you down a bit, knowing that you're close to the man who's been assuring you and the man who just saved you from the hands of that evil villain.
Knowing that you can't really answer his words, you're left finding other way to assure him that you're fine. Aizawa's steps only slowed a bit, he looks down to find you leaning closely into his arms with your eyes closed.
Without noticing it himself, a small smile rises up to his face.
"There's nothing to worry now, you're safe." he says, your eyes remained closed but he noticed the way that you've let out a deep breath.
With that, he continues walking, it wasn't soon before he found himself at the front of the heigh alliance. He opens the doors with his head bowed down, still staring at you who's resting peacefully in his arms.
He enters through the door, but was shocked to see his students who are still awake.
"Aizawa-sensei!" most of them yelled out, he watches as their worried looks dissipated when they saw their cat named Eichi, who's also you, resting peacefully in their teacher's arms.
"You found her!"
"I am so glad Eichi's safe,"
"That stupid cat is troublesome!"
"Kachan!"
"Where did you found her?"
"Who's L/n?"
Everyone paused. The students' words were intersecting one another, each one of them had their own comments and questions as they surrounded their teacher.
But the last question caught everyone's attention, as it's also the thing that they've been curious about. When they heard their teacher mention that name earlier, instead of the usual moniker they've given their cat, they're left confused.
Their Aizawa-sensei's words was quick to spread to their classmates, they waited for his and Eichi's return as they gathered in the living room before the two finally arrived. Together, they wondered as to why their teacher called Eichi by that name.
Now that they're finally here, it was now or never to ask and ease their curiosity.
Aizawa lets out a sigh as he thinks 'Might as well just tell them,' he thinks to himself.
"L/n, or more like L/n Y/n is Eichi's real name." he starts, and his students were already tilting their head in confusion as their eyes strayed to the subject's form.
Eichi, or you, remained asleep in Aizawa's arms, unaware of the conversation that they're having about you.
"L/n Y/n?" Midoriya was the first to speak up, he had that questioning tone.
"Yes," he goes, eyes flicking to your form before returning immediately to his students "I believe you're already aware about that villain who has a quirk to turn people into animals" he adds, and that's when the students' expression were slowly turning into realization.
Mina gasped, her hand comes up to cover her mouth "Don't tell me... Eichi?"
Aizawa nods, others were left shocked with their mouth ajar or brows raised in surprise "Exactly, I found L/n without realizing she was actually a victim of that villain's doing. But I soon realized it, she was also giving signs" he states.
The students watched as their teacher walks up to the living room, they all look curious as he points at the scratches that's on their low table.
Midoriya's eyes widened "She was trying to write!" he realized, Bakugou can only let out a "Tch," behind him as the blonde realizes that as well.
"Yes, we've been keeping it a secret for a while. Just to not draw attention, especially when the villain was still not caught at that time" Aizawa explains in his usual monotone voice, his students nodding while finally understanding what's been going on.
"I knew there was something up with Eichi!" Sero says, looking at his friends who refused to believe him.
"Sorry, man. We just thought you were going crazy," Kirishima pats his back while Kaminari lets out a laugh, the black-haired boy can only groan in disappointment.
"You guys are so rude," he lowered his head, letting out a sigh.
Mina raises her hand at their teacher "Aizawa-sensei! What do you mean 'caught at that time'?" she asks, the others nodding along with her question.
"Does that mean he's finally captured?" Todoroki speaks up.
Aizawa nods "Yes, so there's no need to worry now. We just need to wait until L/n will return to her human form," he says, looking down at you.
The students sighed in relief, knowing that the villain's trouble will no longer spread while he's contained.
"Now, let's continue this tomorrow. Everyone, go to sleep" Aizawa glares at them, before he began walking to his room as he ignores the collective groans in disappointment behind him.
He just opens his door, entering and closing it behind him.
Outside of his room though while most of the students are already heading to their own quarters, some remained.
"What are you doing, Mina? Kero," Asui asks, peeking over Mina's shoulder who's typing roughly on her phone.
"I'm searching up Eichi's real name," she clicks the search, her eyes widening at the image results before showing it to her friends.
"Woah," Jirou reacts.
"We can't be sure that that's really her," Ochaco takes a peek Mina's phone, eyes peering curiously.
Yaoyorozu nods "That's true, how did you even find that?"
Mina smirks before shrugging "I have my ways," then her eyes strayed at the door of their teacher.
"What are you looking there for?" Mina hears Hagakure from her side, making her chuckle while shaking her head.
"Imagine if this is really L/n Y/n." she points at her phone while the girls followed "Her age is close to Aizawa-sensei, and do you remember the way he reacted earlier and being so worried?" she says excitedly, the others just stares at her.
"C'mon, guys. I'm talking about romance, catch up!" the pink-haired girl rolls her eyes, that's when the others finally understood as they start to nod slowly.
Hagakure lets out a squeal "That would be so cute!"
The others gushed, as they excitedly gossiped about their teacher's love-life, until...
"Go to sleep!"
The girls flinched before they started running frantically into their own rooms at the sound of their teacher's voice from inside of his room.
"Kids these days."
