Chapter Text
Finney Steve was slammed back into reality without much warning. Well, if you count ghosts cheering you on as you run from another ghost as a warning.
"Steve!" Robin was sobbing and hugging him.
Steve couldn't think. His head was full of cotton. He sat there on the-pavement?-and stared across the room. All he could feel was The Grabber's hands exploring and mapping the 13 year old's body.
Steve shuddered and gasped quietly.
He would not be weak He had people to protect.
A few other faces swam into view.
A concerned Dustin.
Nancy, whowas solving some problem.
Joyce, teary-eyed and holding onto
Hopper, hugging Joyce and smiling at Steve with concern and pity.
Steve hated pity.
A puppy-dog eyed El crawled to him.
"You can not keep quiet for these kinds of things." She murmured softly.
Steve stroked her forehead non-committally.
"I'm fine."
Not even a reassurance.anymore: just desperation for someone to believe him.
