Deckard was put away in the attic.
( “Put away” because he’s property)
Rodger was downstairs, mad and erratic.
Rodger’s breath was alcohol-scented.
Deckard was not to be detected.
( Deckard wasn’t ordered to avoid Rodger, Deckard's hiding from him because Rodger is drunk and mad and that means Deckard is more likely to get hurt.)
That night, a stranger had visited.
(OG Project Manager!)
A man dressed in blue who Rodger hated.
( Chrysalis uniform)
The man did not know how to comply with Rodger's commands.
(Deckard is so used to himself and Darlene following Rodger’s commands that when he sees the Project Manager not doing this, he thinks the Project Manager is confused and is worried for the Project Manager)
The man did not know what even Deckard did not understand.
( Deckard struggles to understand Rodger’s commands sometimes, and this results in Deckard getting hurt.)
Deckard was called down.
Deckard followed the sound
Of Rodgers directives, laced with anger.
Deckard saw him with the stranger.
And Rodger told Deckard to toss the trash,
And Rodger told Deckard to pass a match.
And Rodger lit a cigar, in need of a break.
And blew the smoke into his face.
(This is a form of abuse. Also, second hand smoking. Not cool, Rodger. L.)
And the stranger scolded Rodger for his reckless behavior.
And this filled Rodger with so much more anger.
So Rodger took a scarf and put it around the mans neck,
And pulled the ends, stealing his breath.
(Deckard mentioned to Abel that he once saw Rodger strangle someone with a scarf. He tells this to Abel because Abel was panicking and Deckard suggested Abel remove his scarf.)
Deckard asked Rodger to stop before he was hurt,
But Rodger told Deckard to not say another word.
(Deckard told Abel he was helpless to stop Rodger, but Deckard is programmed to advise against any activity that may hurt humans. So Deckard was specifically ordered not to intervene.)
And Deckard watched as the man turned blue.
Deckard didn’t know that was something a human could do.
(Humans can change color!? What!?)
And soon the man was dead, collapsed on the floor.
Deckard didn’t want to be here anymore.
Rodger called a government friend,
(Ish said Rodger avoided persecution because of government ties)
Then Rodger told Deckard to simply forget.
(Deckard was ordered to erase his memory in order to hide evidence. However, the footage from Deckard’s eyes are already at Chrysalis, which is how Ish finds out. )(And Chrysalis is totally using androids to spy on the people.)
And so Deckard forgot what happened that night,
The stranger, the scarf, the death and the fight.
But there was something inside Deckard that was deeply scathed.
Deckard was now beginning to hate.
(EMOTION MY BOY!!!! BEGIN DEFECTING!!! GET REVENGE!!! KILL!!!)
