Chapter Text

Uraraka felt her eyes open, feeling exhausted. Turning onto her side to look at her clock, she found it was only six thirty. That meant she was likely the only one awake. Well, besides Iida, Bakugou, and Midoriya. They were notoriously early risers. Still, Uraraka couldn't help but to relish the sense of peace in the usually hectic dorms. Tsuyu's girlfriend would be visiting later, and there was no doubt in Uraraka's mind that the class would be in a frenzy. However, until then, she could enjoy the tranquil, the novel feeling of being one of the only people awake out of so many.

Of course, the spell was instantly broken with the loud cry of 'Feliz Navidad!' being called through the door. It was so nice while it lasted.

Well, she supposed it was nice while it lasted. Groggily, Uraraka managed to drag herself out of bed to view the commotion in the hallway.

Bakugou looked about as tired as she, raking a hand through his hair, "Dunce face! Here I am trying to see what ingredients we have, and you're running around like a moron!"

Kaminari grinned, wrapping his arms around Todoroki and Jirou, both of whom looked equally done and dejected with their situation, "Nah, dude. We're just tryna' pick out the perfect playlist for tonight! Sing it, Todoroki!"

"Prospero año y felicidad," came the dead pan chant from the poor guy.

"You know how to speak Spanish?" Jirou looked impressed.

Todoroki shrugged.

"Don't you see? None of that matters when   oi, Round face!" Bakugou turned to Uraraka, "Look at you! You're a mess! Get yourself ready, then go get filthy toad!"

Uraraka blinked at him slowly.

Before Bakugou could explode once more, Midoriya guided Uraraka away by the arm, "Of course, Kacchan! We'll be ready in no time."

"Whatever, nerd."

Once safely out of earshot, Midoriya looked at her once more, "Sorry about that. Once he found out that we were having dinner with Tsuyu's girlfriend..."

"He instantly took control of everything?" Uraraka finished.

"Well...yeah," Midoriya started chuckling, "Momo, Tokoyami and Ayoma are on decoration duty, Sato's baking, even though Kacchan insists that he could do a billion times better, and you saw the music crew. Hakagure and Ashido are working on locking up Mineta and Tenya is basically supervising everyone else as they clean."

"Hm, well, Bakugou does love to be in charge. I never thought he would care so much, though."

"You would be surprised. Kacchan is really hospitable. I think he gets it from his mom. There was this one time    "

Bakugou screamed, "Deku!"

"Ah! Coming!" Midoriya laughed sheepishly, "Sorry about that. I better let you get ready."

With that, Uaraka escorted herself to the bathroom. Honestly, she was kind of embarrassed she appeared in front of the others looking so messy. Of course, she supposed that was the price for having dorm mates. In any case, she had to get ready quickly, lest she face Bakugou's anger. Once she was dressed up well enough, she made her way to Tsuyu's room.

"Psst, Uraraka!" Kirishima ran up to her, "Bakubro wanted me to give you this list."

Uraraka examined the paper in her hands, reading through some of the questions, "What is this for?"

"Oh, um," he laughed, "I think you're supposed to ask Tsuyu about her girlfriend and take notes. Bakubro wants to make sure everything we've planned so far is good."

"Huh...okay, thanks,"  Uraraka waved goodbye as she made her way to her friend's room. Upon knocking on the door, she heard the faint call of 'coming.'

Tsuyu opened the door, seeming slightly surprised, "Ochako? It's pretty early, what's up, ribbit?"

"Hey, honey! Sorry about how early it is. Bakugou wanted me to ask some questions...about your girlfriend I mean," Uraraka explained.

"Right. Come in."

Both girls settled down onto the bed, Uraraka pulled out her paper, "Um, what are her favorite foods? Bakugou also added 'I swear if she's some weak loser who can't handle spicy stuff I will punch you for having such bad taste.'"

"Well...she's fine with whatever," Tsuyu explained, "He's pretty into this."

Uraraka sighed, taking note of her answer, "Yup. He sure is. Um, favorite color?"

"Red, ribbit."

"Music? That 'better not be some lame-o country beats.'

"Love songs, any kind. Except country, I guess."

"Aw, I like country music," Uraraka pouted, "Now...any allergies."

"Not that I know of."

"Any favorite sweets?"

"She's a fan of just about anything sweet, honestly."

"Welp, that's all of the questions," Uraraka jotted down the last of her notes, "If I were you I would hide out in here. It's a war zone outside."

Tsuyu nodded, face full of mourning, "I truly do pity you."

"Thank you."

And with that Uraraka emerged into the chaos of the the planning. God, help her soul.

To Uraraka's utter relief and surprise, the class was able to finish relatively quickly in their preparations. In that time, Tsuyu had gone put to meet her girlfriend, informing the class she would be back within the hour. Even in their excitement, the class seemed rather relaxed.

"Ugh! Will, Tsuyu ever get back?" Ashido whined, flooping onto the couch, "She's been out for like...hours..."

"I know, right? And after we worked so hard? My poor, aching bones!" Hagakure fell right on top of her.

"She's hardly been gone a half-hour," Tokoyami reminded, "I am most assured she will be back soon."

Momo nodded, "Yes! I am sure there is no reason to fret!"

Todoroki shrugged, "Well...probably not. A lot of things can happen in thirty minutes. I would know..."

"Probably?" Kaminari looked slightly shaken.

"I am sure it is all well. Todoroki is just being humorous," Iida stared at Todoroki for a long time after that, perhaps anticipating an apology.

It never came. What did come was Ashido whispering into a confused Todoroki's ear.

Todoroki nodded with understanding, shooting Iida a wink. Iida looked like he was about to die. In Uraraka's humble opinion, he had a pretty good run.

"I...! That is wildly inappropriate    to do that is just...! I cannot fathom....!" Iida tried to respond.

"I never thought I'd see Todoroki's boyish good looks utilized for evil," Kaminari commented, to which the rest of the class nodded, even Bakugou snickering.

It was then the door began to open, and the class was by the door in a flash. Uraraka felt her heart pound. This was ereything they had been preparing for. She felt she may vomit.

After what felt like an enternity, Tsuyu walked into the room, a girl hanging off her arm.

The girl was a natural beauty, Uraraka noted. A freckled face, calm green eyes, light brown hair...all in all, she was objectively attractive. Rather scandalously dressed, though. A skin tight tight black dress, with fishnets, and a leather jacket. Uraraka thanked God that one of their nasty little purple classmates wasn't there. That was all she could reflect upon before the class began to harass the two, all but running over Uraraka in the process.

"Aw, you are so cute!"

"Tsuyu really hit the jackpot, huh?"

"You're telling me!"

"Um...it is very nice to meet    "

"Are you a model or something?"

The class instantly quieted as the girl cleared her throat, clearly about to talk, "Hiya! It is so, so, so nice to meet all of you. My darling Tsu has told me an awful lot about you! My name is Tamomoski Himoto!"

Uraraka could swear she could hear the hearts of her class melt.

Bakugou sauntered up, looking bored, "Welcome, Himoto. We are honored to have you here. Please do come in."

"Um, yes welcome," Uraraka was close behind, almost uncomfortable at Bakugou's well mannered actions.

Hitomo smiled warmly, walking in, "Thank you so much, Bakugou, Uraraka."

"You...know who we are?" Uraraka asked.

"How could I not? You're class 1-A!" Himoto bounced up and down.

"She. Is. Perfect," Ashido hugged Himoto from behind, "I'm going to adopt you, Tamomoski!"

"Not if I adopt you first, Mina!"

Shouji shook his head, "First names already...?"

Tsuyu grabbed Himoto sternly, "T...Tamomoski...you're being embarrassing, ribbit."

"Geez! I'm sorry, Tsu! I'll play nice! No stabbing people!" Himoto bopped Tsuyu on the nose.

"See! She's got a sense of humor too!" Kirishima started chuckling.

Sooner or later everyone had been quelled, and people had sat down at a table. Uraraka herself was still on the fence. Things seemed to be going well enough, but who knew with their class.

Himoto's face scrunched up, "Ew. What's that?"

That was in reference to the badly drawn Mineta Minoru pop up that had been placed at the table.

"That?" Sero frowned, "That was a reminder of our dear friend Mineta. Sadly, he won't be with us tonight."

Todoroki nodded, "A real shame."

"Travesty even," Midoriya added.

"All too sad," Jirou hung her head.

"Too bad," Himoto hummed.

All teenagers made it a point to ignore the desperate screaming from Mineta's room.

Hagakure made the first move, asking excitedly, "So! You gotta' tell us, how exactly did you meet our lovely Tsuyu?"

Himoto put a manicured finger to her chin, "Ah, well...she was on a bench in the park, and I couldn't help approaching Tsu's adorable self!"

Tsuyu buried her face in her hands, "You weren't subtle at all..."

"Yeah, by the end of that meeting I had snagged a kiss..."

"Quiet!"

Uraraka was almost surprised at the anger with which the words were said, yet Tsuyu was smiling all the same. So, so strange.

Momo spoke up as the conversation stalled, "Himoto...what is your quirk?"

"Oh," Himoto giggled, "I don't actually have one..."

There was a strained silence after that, before Midoriya spoke up, "What school do you go to?"

At this, Himoto brightened, "I'm home schooled actually! You guys are so lucky, living with each other is probably like a sitcom..."

"Whatever! It sucks and you're lucky not to be here," Bakugou walked in at that point, carrying a hot plate of curry.

"Curry!"  Himoto cheered, instantly shoving spoonfuls into her mouth.

"For all his awful qualities, Bakugou is a rather good cook," Todoroki hummed.

 "Hah? Repeat that again IcyHot!"

As the two boys squabbled, Uraraka noticed that Himoto's face had gone completely red, "Himoto...?"

It was then that the whole class turned towards Himoto, who looked to be choking.

Ashido was the first to break the silence, slinging herself over to the other, "My darling daughter is dying! Bakugou, do something!"

"What, why me? It's not even that spicy. This...damn, what should I call her?"

Iida shook his arm, "This is no time for that!"

Todoroki shook his head, "To think Bakugou could kill her with his cooking. Maybe I could use my quirk to cool her off."

"My cooking?"

Kaminari let electricity spark at his fingertips, "I can do that thing with the shocking on her!"

"It's called defibrillation, and that's an awful idea!" Jirou screeched, "Are you trying to kill her?"

In the midst of all their panic, no one had noticed Tsuyu delivering a cup of water to Himoto's lips, "You shouldn't eat so much at once, ribbit."

"Hah...sorry, Tsu," Himoto turned to them, "What's wrong you guys? Great curry by the way, Bakugou!"

"Suck up," Bakugou huffed, but he was grinning.

The rest of the dinner was rather smooth, consisting of small talk. However, in that time Uraraka noticed just how in sync the two were. When Tsuyu dropped something, Himoto would catch it, if Himoto would sneeze, Tsuyu would be blessing her before she finished. Of course, that much was difficult to pick up on as Himoto yapped away.

"And y'know," Himoto was chewing, food all but spilling out of her mouth, "You wouldn't think it, yeah, but Tsu loves holding hands!"

Tsuyu's face went red, "Oh yeah? Well, Himoto is a cuddler! Once she    "

Himoto covered her mouth, "Anyway!"

Bakugou expertly maneuvered around the scene, voluntarily picking up finished plates, yet still complaining that 'he wasn't some damn maid.'

"It's movie time!" Hagakure cheered, pulling out a large box filled with DVDs.

"Choose one, Tamomoski! C'mon!" Ashido was right behind bouncing excitedly.

Himoto didn't need to be told twice, instantly digging through the box. After some time she pulled out a disk reading 'My girlfriend is is a superhero?'

"Let's do this one! It reminds me of Tsu!"

Uraraka thought the movie looked awful, but the reasoning was cute so she supposed she should let it slide.

Sooner or later the entire class had hunkered down to watch the movie. The first ten minutes had passed by and Uraraka was already bored. The main character realized that his girlfriend was a superhero and proceeded to try to become her sidekick. It wasn't much longer before he was drifting, drifting, drifting...and she was asleep.

By the time she woke up the movie must have had to have gotten more entertaining, as there was not a single student not eyeing the screen. As Uraraka gathered her bearings doing her best to get to the bathroom without disturbing anyone elses's movie-going experience. By the time Uraraka got to her destination, she found Hitomo, finishing the last bit of a red liquid from a vial.

"Uraraka!" Hitomo choked, laughing, "Woke up from your little nap did you?"

Uraraka nodded, "Yeah. I feel kinda' bad, though, it seems the movie got pretty good...um..."

"Oh this? Just some medicine! I've been feeling pretty under the weather recently, so my mom made me some remedies."

The other girl nodded, "Oh, of course. I don't mean to pry! I'll let you get back to the movie."

Hitomo nodded, walking past her, before Uraraka said one more thing.

"And Himoto?"

"Hm?"

"Tsu really likes you. I can tell. Treat her well."

Himoto's face split into a grin, "That, I can promise you."

As she got farther, Uraraka couldn't help her smile as she heard the faint cheer of, 'She likes me!'

By the time Uraraka had gotten back, the movie was over. So, it must have been fantastic as half of the class was in tears.

"That was the best movie ever!" Kaminari wailed into Kirishima's chest.

"Never has there been a protagonist so manly," Kirishima followed.

"The movie was all right," Todoroki affirmed, although a steady stream of tears was rushing down his face.

Midoriya grabbed Uraraka the moment he saw her, somehow crying more than Todoroki, "His...his real power w-was the power of love! The power of love, Ochako!"

Part of Uraraka wanted to laugh at the absurtity of it all, and the other part of her wanted the squeal because Midoriya was touching her!

Once the class had finally calmed down from their emotional breakdown (Uraraka had almost felt left out as she consoled Iida) the class began to bid Hitomo adieu.

"Bye everyone!" Himoto called, as she was dragged out by Tsuyu.

"Goodbye my sweet angel!" Ashido cried, having to be held back by both Ayoma and Momo.

Uraraka couldn't help but to laugh. Tsuyu was in good hands. She couldn't imagine why she had worried so much.

"Ow, ow, Tsu!" Himoto whined once they were outside the dorms.

Tsuyu continued to yank on her arm, "Oh, come on Toga, you've been through worse."

Hitomo reverted back to her true form, "Ugh fine."

"You promise the girl is fine?"

"Geez, yeah. Obviously! I have enough blood for days more of being her," Toga grinned, "I let her go."

"Promise me, ribbit?"

"Yes, I promise

"Now, see you later."

Toga grabbed onto Tsuyu's hands, "I had fun today! You're friends are so cool!"

Tsuyu couldn't help but to smile, "Me too. See you next week."

Toga planted a kiss to her lips, "Wouldn't miss it for the world, Tsu."

Tsuyu watched as Toga disappeared. As much as she hated it, neither would she.

She then reentered the dorms to find Bakugou leaning against her door.

"Um, Bakugou..."

His eyes snapped open, that ever present scowl on his face, "I don't trust her."

"Ribbit...?"

"Freckle face. There's something dark in her. A thirst for blood. She's a predator and you're her prey. Don't you see how she looks at you? I know that look."

Tsuyu nodded, "O...okay."

Bakugou walked past her, bumping her with his shoulder, "I don't control you. Just know I ain't takin' this lyin' down, filthy toad. Whatever's up with her. I'm gonna ' find out."

"You really are in love, huh?" Tsuyu muttered.

"What?"

"'The way she looks at me?' It's the same way you look at    "

Bakugou groaned, cheeks red, "I'm stopping you right there!"

With that, he was gone and Tsuyu was left speechless. What happened now? Maybe, she could do what she had been doing this whole time.

Ignoring her problems.

Notes:

I'm weak for meeting the 'family' fics, sorry. I will hit that yeet for every comment and kudos I get. I promise.

Notes:

This came out to be too long, but Uraraka is a character is a character who need to be expanded on more in canon, and given more of a personality besides having a crush, change my mind. Please gimme those kudos and comments. They inspire me to pursue my terrible ships.
