hi! this is not actually an update, just a word on the future of this fic.
first of all, I'm so incredibly sorry that it has taken this long to give anything about this story. I'm aware I left it on a cliffhanger and I never stopped thinking about it. I never finished Voltron, I don't think I made it past mid season 6 because I started to hate the direction it went in.
that being said, my country has recently been put on a three week lockdown due to coronavirus, so I decided to use this time to finally finish this story.
i know that the Shallura side ship is no longer canon compatible since shiro was announced as gay, but as I started this before that was revealed (and because it was a blatant attempt from the voltron creators to avoid queerbaiting accusations), I'm not going to rewrite the previous chapters and the shallura side pairing will continue.
the main reason I never finished this was due to not liking voltorn anymore, but I also had a lot going on in my personal life the past two years. i fell face first in love with a girl and got my heart broken, I started partying way too hard and developed a dependence on mdma (don't do drugs kids), which led to a huge depressive episode that got me put in therapy and on suicide watch after an attempt. i took my exams and finished school, but the leadup to exams was giving me daily anxiety attacks.
but!!!!!
i got into my first choice university on the course I wanted!! my mental health has had a few hiccups but I've been getting solidly better, I got my substance problems under control and I got over the girl, we managed to get on good terms again and be friends with each other and I'm currently dating my wonderful gf at the moment (who I miss bc we're both quarantined ages away from each other), and now I'm finally finishing this. mostly the reason I went back to it was because of people telling me they liked it, or else I just would've assumed nobody cared. so thank you to everyone who left a comment on this fic, the next chapters are for you!!!!
this wasn't meant to be such a diary entry, but hopefully it can show you that no matter what life throws at you, it doesn't have to be the end. bad times are temporary. and if you have a project that you've left, go back to it!!!!
