Chapter Text
“Bro, I know you’re on your room, please open the door”
Kirishima would be lying if he said that Bakugou was an easy person.
It took him a good amount of time to realize that he was more than all of his screams and insults, than all of the silly and sometimes hurtful nicknames that he gave. But once he saw beyond all that façade, he realized that Bakugou Katsuki was just… Afraid.
And it honestly hurt him to know that.
How could someone so awesome like him be so alone? How come no one has seen beyond like he did? How come there was no one there for him in the past? How much did Bakugou had to suffer for him to think loneliness is all he had?
The path to become a hero is something that you have to build for yourself, but that does not mean that you have to do it alone.
And Kirishima wanted to make sure Bakugou knew that.
“Fuck off, shitty hair”
“Come on, don’t be like that, I saw before you entered your room” I saw you crying, was what he wanted to say. But he knew his friend, that wouldn’t have helped.
“… You saw me?”
“Yes”
“Did anybody else saw me?”
“No, I’m alone here”
He heard movement inside the room, so he prepared for the door to be opened. He wanted to give his best friend a warm nice calming hug. But he knew that showing weakness was one of the things that Bakugou Katsuki was afraid of hated the most, even to his ‘best friend’.
“I’m not opening the fucking door”
Bakugou’s voice sounded nearer than before, so he knew he was closer to the door. That was some progress.
“It’s okay”
“… Are you not gonna leave?”
“Do you want me too?”
“…”
He heard a little bump on the floor, followed by what he assumed was Bakugou’s head on the door. He put himself on a, assumingly, similar position. He felt closer to him that way.
“Why are you sitting on the floor? You’re on the fucking corridor, they’re going to think I kicked you out or some shit”
They’re not that far… Kirishima thought, laughing internally.
“Don’t try to push me away, Bakugou”
“Why the fuck are you saying that out of nowhere?”
Kirishima ignored the comment.
“You’re my best friend, I care about you” He said, leaning a little bit more on the door, hoping that that way Bakugou would feel him a little bit closer.
“… I know you do, shitty hair”
Kirishima smiled.
“Then don’t try to push away, because I’m not leaving you alone”
He heard a small sob on the other side.
“Thank you”
Kirishima didn’t say anything, but he hoped that that day his best friend, Bakugou Katsuki, would have felt a little bit less alone than before.
