Chapter Text

He walked out of his door once like he had done yesterday. While he usually did sleep before 12, (not like he would admit it) he wanted to know more about the nightmare animatronics that had been supposedly tormenting his brother for who knows how long.

When he walked through the halls, he didn’t know what to expect, but he certainly didn’t expect Bonnie to be standing at the end of the hall. Once Bonnie saw him, he immediately turned towards him, his footsteps rumbling while his hands were outstretched in an attempt to grab him. Michael screeched, grabbing a near vase and hurling it at his face. The nightmare warbled, blinking its eyes slowly while Michael stared sternly, albeit hesitantly at the recovering animatronic.

“Are you done trying to be intimidating?” Michael said, his hand on his hip as he blink dramatically at Bonnie. Said animatronic seemed surprised with how his pupils were dilated.

“MicHaEel?” Bonnie’s voice drew out his name, grumbled and groggily. Said boy nodded. Bonnie hummed, standing up to his full height and looking down at him. Michael hummed quietly, grabbing his hand and dragging him over to his room. Bonnie tripped slightly along the way, but he stopped after Michael threatened to dismantle him if he crushed him from tripping. The rest of the walk was quiet. Michael closed the door behind the two of them.

“So,, do y’like Foxy?” Was the first thing Michael said. Bonnie seemed to flinch before looking away from him. He was confused for a bit before he gasped, putting his hand to his chest.

“I didn’t mean it like that!” He exclaimed. Bonnie’s eyes seemed to widen further as a gurgly sound left his throat. Michael guessed that it was his best try at a somewhat nervous chuckle. It worked, he supposed. But now, he was intrigued.

“You like Foxy like that? How’s that even supposed to work? Does you guys’ AI have something to do with it?” Michael questions. Bonnie simply shrugs.

“Nnever thHought aboOut it.” Michael tilted his head and hummed. That made sense, who would want to question their existence as an animatronic who could feel romantic feelings? He probably wouldn’t want to.

“That’s fair I guess. Oh! Have you heard of Spotify, Bonnie?” Michael asked, pulling out- what is that?

“What kind of thin black thing is that?” Bonnie questioned, squinting his eyes as Michael rolled his.

“Not old people.” Michael said sarcastically. Bonnie looked at him, unimpressed.

“That was a joke- But honestly, I kinda just found this thing in a drawer out in the hall. It’s pretty handy.” Michael explained. Bonnie leaned over to get a better look at it. The screen was dark and there was n-

“MY EeYES!” Bonnie exclaimed, jerking away from the phone and covering his eyes. Michael laughed at his sensitivity and typed in his password, opening Spotify.

He clicked on his main playlist, scrolling for a bit while Bonnie rubbed furiously at his eyes. Michael checked the volume button on the side before clicking on the song. It was one of his favorites, ‘Oh No!’ By MARINA.

They both went quiet, allowing the song to fill the room. Michael hummed along to the song, eventually beginning to slowly whisper along to the lyrics. While Bonnie didn’t understand a good portion of the lyrics because of his position as an animatronic whose purpose was to torment an innocent child, he liked the words and how they fit together.

After that song, a lighter more jaz-like song came on. Dancing Queen, Michael sang along to the song, he passed the phone over to Bonnie, allowing him to read the lyrics as Michael continued singing.

They paused the song for a minute or two to connect the phone to the speakers Michael had. Who would be sleeping in this house? Elizabeth would be playing with her dolls, William would be in his office, and Evan would be fending off the nightmares. They turned the speakers up to 78% Michael began to swing around the room as the chorus came on.

Once they were done with their small musical session, they were playing games on a small arcade system that Michael owned. It was Pac-Man, but he also owned Donkey Kong, Frogger, Tempest, Defender, Missile Command, Q*bert, and Rally-X. Bonnie tried his best with the small joystick and control pad. He was really mad at Frogger though because he kept unintentionally moving the frog in different directions that got him killed.

He was banned from Pac-Man. He got caught 8 times on the first level and he nearly threw the small system into a wall. Michael made sure to give him a good lecturing after that, specifically with the threat that he would take his parts and sell them to buy a new mini arcade machine.

Bonnie left near 5:23 AM. The pixelated music from the machines slowly lulled him to sleep.

“My night was quite well, what about you, Chica?” Bonnie smugly asked the chicken who sat unmovingly.

“He threw his toy phone at my face.” She said simply, Bonnie cackled, his voice sputtering as he held his hand to his face.

Freddy chuckled quietly from behind the Chica. Foxy grinned sharply and brought a hand up to cover his mouth. His eyes were shut closed as if to imitate a laughing expression.

Nightmarionne looked between them all before looking down at Plushtrap and Balloon Boy.

“Before the two of you pester me about it, no, you’re not going to hang out with Michael. Who knows what you would do to the poor boy.” They said, putting their hands on their hips as they shook their head.

Plushtrap looked up at Nightmarionne in childish anger. He knew he shouldn’t have let his mother bleed out on the floor. Mother maybe- would’ve let him hang out with Michael.

Freddy looked between Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy before speaking.

“I can go next, right?” He asked, causing Foxy to nod mutedly. Nightmarionne nodded as well. So did Plushtrap and Balloon Boy, although they were hesitant.

There was a stomping noise from the darker shadows of the house. A deep laugh echoed throughout the halls. Freddy sighed, his body slightly quivering. They have to be patient. They both know that.
