Summary
The sky is always red now. It’s as though the very air is coated with the blood now drying in the streets, caked in puddles, the fresh of it smelling of ripe and rot.
It dusts under Steve’s boots like the broken leaves of the late autumn months, like the way it was before. It flows freely from the open wound in his left arm, mixing with the red under his feet in an invisible trail. To the naked eye at least.
It’s hard to believe he isn’t in the Upside Down. No, now the Upside Down is here.
__Seven months after the events of season four the party is left stuck in a wasteland of blood and death and death and blood with the belief that Eddie Munson is dead hanging over all of their heads. When he comes back, changed in ways none of them ever dared to imagine, he brings with him a horror even he couldn't have predicted. But even in hell connections can reform and love can return. The only question is: will it be enough to save them all?

Summary
Steve looks at this new Eddie — the Eddie that crawled back from the Upside Down a week after he died there, scared and a little angry and with a face full of animal blood — and he gets this feeling in his gut, not unlike the feeling he gets when a demogorgon has him in its sights.
Steve likes that feeling. Chases it.
He begins to seek out the feeling that comes from Eddie staring at him a little too intently, or when Eddie drags his tongue, long and different, across teeth that are equally long and different.
Steve can feel his heart begin to race every time it happens, and he knows Eddie can hear his heart begin to race. Steve can tell by the way Eddie shifts in his seat and drops his gaze to the line of Steve’s throat.
Steve thinks he gets high off of that thrill.

Summary
It's been six years since Eddie died. Steve manages a sporting goods store at the mall, and everyone else has moved on and left town. He's twenty-five and he's tired and alone.
But the Upside Down is shut away and he's alive and that's what really matters.
Until Eleven calls and says she feels something. Something in Hawkins.
And then Something shows up in Steve's living room and flashes sharp teeth.

Summary
Eddie comes back after a while, but he's not quite the same. He recognizes all the people that visit him in the hospital, but he doesn't know them, like they're songs he's heard before but can't sing along to. He's paler, and colder, and he has extra teeth now.
And Steve can't stop falling in love with him, especially when Eddie won't stop staring at him, all wide-eyed and full of wonder and curiosity.
