“Please,” he says, carefully pulling away his coat to reveal his emergency call for the night.
The tired and vexed expression on the man instantly melts. Shouto is certain now that he’s the veterinarian and not the janitor having spotted the stethoscope and various other tools in his scrubs pocket. The man looks at the injured cat in his hold, eyes expressing his fondness and worry before he clenches his jaw and unlocks the door to open it for them.
Shouto’s heart soars.
When Shouto finds an injured cat and takes her to the only open clinic late at night, the last thing he expects is to fall for the hot, blond vet who graciously tends to her after-hours.

After a particularly hard shove at Katsuki’s face, victorious, she holds the key out of his reach.
“Give it back, Pinky,” Katsuki says with barely contained rage, face still smushed under Ashido’s palm. “I have something gruesome in mind.”
“Yeah, you gotta work on your pitch, man,” Ashido says deadpan, moves back when Katsuki slaps her away. “Also, you need to get home. Sleep on it, then talk to Todoroki.”
Katsuki grimaces. The last thing he wanted right now was having a fucking feelings talk. “Murder sounds far better.”
(In which Ashido gets hit by a truth quirk and tells Katsuki something he absolutely doesn't like.)
