Neil Josten is twenty the first time his name goes into the reaping pool. Neil Josten is twenty when his name is called at a reaping. He now faces the one thing he had been running from all his life, and he's not sure if he'll make it out alive. He steps onto the stage ready to fight and to live, but after seeing the life that could've been, he's not sure he even wants to step foot outside the arena after he goes in.
Andrew Minyard, self appointed protector of his family, would never hesitate to step in and help Aaron or Nicky. That's why, when Aaron's name is called, Andrew doesn't stop to think about his whole life turning upside down. Andrew made a sound from the back of his throat, he struggled to find his answer in that moment and Neil could see that so he quickly added, “Do you want to listen to a song with me?”
“In the rain?” Andrew asked flatly.
“Yeah...yes or no? Will you stand in the rain with me and listen to some Queen with me?” Neil took one of his hands out of his pocket and offered it to Andrew.
Andrew sighed and tapped his foot against the floor, “Yes.” without holding eye contact he takes Neil’s hand and Neil gently guides Andrew out into the rain.~~~

Neil is always earnest in his desire, has only ever been transparent in his hunger for her. His kisses are hungry and deep, and Andrew wraps a hand around the side of his neck to keep him there.
Suddenly, he pulls away, leaving her gasping and reeling stupidly. “Wh-”
“I’m used to having breakfast when I come back,” he laughs. “I’m hungry. What should we do for breakfast?”
Andrew squints at him in a glare and grabs the front of his shirt. “My pussy,” she says, and yanks him back down, this time pulling him until he’s on top of her.
