Summary
After the events of RotT, Jim hoped to use his knowledge of the future to aid the new Trollhunter, except that everything feels unfinished when it turns out no one remembers him, even though proof that a Jim Lake Jr. once existed remains throughout the town.
Fate shows him no mercy, for blood is destined to follow him.
Or,
Jim has ceased to exist for everyone he loves, but that is the least of his worries. Meanwhile, both trolls and humans begin falling victim to mysterious murders.

Summary
There was one thing that was for certain. James Lake Jr, or Jim as he preferred, was…acting weird.
It wasn’t his looks that were different, no. Same old average apperance. Combed black hair, pale complexion with few blemishes, quirked smile…his eyes were always a rather unique shade of blue, but other than that? He blended into the crowd, another face in the sea of students at Arcadia Oaks.
Then he started his day by tackling his best friend to the ground.

Yesterday was great.
They played games together, they talked about girls and school, and everything was an awesome sauce.
Today isn’t that great.
Toby doesn’t know what changed in Jim. Maybe his new lock of white hair is the most obvious, but his attitude? Gosh, is like if a whole new and terrible person has taken over his best friend’s body.
Jim says ‘Trust me’, and Toby wants to trust him…
The stains of blood don’t help.

Jim lake Jr closed his eyes, the amulet shimmers as it alights, the armor forming around his body, in the same moment, the kronosphere pulls him back in time.
But it's too far, he's just a kid, only in middle school and with the entire memories of a lifetime he hasn't achieved yet.
With his human form reverting into his trollish form, and his allies unable to remember the past events, Jim has to go stumbling through the future himself in an attempt to save the world, again!

Now pretending to be brothers, King and Jester, they’re going to have to figure out what they’re going to do to prevent what happened to them from happening to their younger selves. Can they do it? We’ll have to see.

Strickler gets to the canal first, picks up the amulet and is chosen as the next Trollhunter, much to the dismay and horror of both Strickler and Jim
