Adrenaline pulsed through Tommy’s veins as he finished the final lap, his car engine whirring and vibrating. He made the last turn of the track, leaning as if he was one with his car. He slowed to a stop after he passed the checkered finish line, his breath coming out in pants as he smiled behind his tinted helmet. He was covered in sweat, unbearably hot, and tired, but he’s never felt more alive.
