Summary
Due to the horrible crimes Dabi has committed against the nation, he has been sent to court and, after a quick trial, sentenced to death.
Just as he is about to be taken away, the doors to the courtroom open wide and in storms a person frantically yelling that they are in possession of evidence that WILL prove his innocence. The person looks at Dabi and discreetly winks.
This sudden twist is strange for two specific reasons:
1) He has definitely committed all those crimes;
2) He doesn't know who the fuck this isI feel like I should mention this story is loosely based on this prompt....

If he asks me to go with him, he thinks, staring at the innocuous text until he sees it even with his eyes closed. If he’s going to ruin this or kill me… if today is the day that we stop fucking pretending that we’re not on opposite sides…
He swallows, acknowledging quietly that Hawks wasn’t the only one who’d gotten attached.

He meets the villain Dabi eleven years later, on a chilly evening by a decaying building.
