Summary
"There, great? Did it work?" Charles's lips curl into a smile. He pulls away, feeling a sweet, piercing warmth spreading inside him, echoing in his long-since-stopped heart.
Edwin stands frozen for a few seconds, his green eyes fixed on Charles. There is a ringing silence between them for a moment, his gaze tracing over Charles as if he were reading the pages of a book line by line, and he feels his insides twisting into a metaphorical knot. The mark of a kiss on his cheek is too tingly, and for a moment he wants to commit it to memory – the touch of Charles’s lips on his skin.
