Damian intervenes when a sniper tries to shoot Tim. But because of the shot he's put in critical condition, Tim believes that Damian wasn't the original target, as he only chose to come because he had an argument with Bruce. Both are taken to the hospital and Bruce is called and comes to see, Tim ask's about Damian and the nurses tell them he's in critical condtion. Bruce goes to see him, sending Dick to him. During the wait, a nurse introduces himself and tries to poison TIm until he yells out for help. Dick shows up but doesn't chase after the man, but the man kills himself anyway. Tim talks to Dick and believes whoever shot them was sent by someone who know their identities. Jason shows up and tells Tim he want to hunt down the shooter, but he jumped into the river after he and the GCPF got to him, but Jason informs Tim he was league trained. Implying either Talia or Ra's order his hit. After leaving his stay, and visiting Damian with Bruce, a nurse muses about Damian's mother visiting earlier. The two rush to find her and confront her, she confirms that Ra's order the hit and she didn't agree, but she didn't expect Damian to intervene either. Bruce yells at her for causing Damian so much harm and tells her to leave. Damian recovers and apologizes to Bruce for not doing his english homework.

He could have killed me, his heart screamed. He would have killed me and you would have just let it happen, and then you would sit back and pretend to cry and then go on with your stupid fucking bullshit quest of a life.

Jason has an incident with the a man keeping a little girl as a sex slave, he tries to subdue them normally until the man pulls a crowbar out and causes Jason to snap and kill him. With the rest of the Batfamily arriving next, Bruce yells and detains Jason for what he was doing, Jason tries to explain but starts pushing the blame on Bruce. Dick intervenes and separates the two. Damian and Tim come in and tell them that the commissioner is angry. Damian defends his father (rightfully making sense) and Jason hits him out of anger. Dick swoops in as Damian starts crying, only to answer Damian's question why jason's crying, that Jason wasn't trying to hit HIM. Jason has a breakdown as he realizes he's no different than Bruce.

Tim spends the day with Damian, getting him out of bed and hanging out with him at his job. Then they meet the family for his birthday lunch. Throughout the day, Damian seems to be in sad-like mood. This is answered when they return to the manor where they are direct to an old BRuce who is happy to see his son at 18 year old. Next Damian suits up as Batman for the first time. -

"How are we going to do it?" Damian demanded heatedly.
"Do what?" Tim asked guardedly, trying to avoid tipping his chair backwards while simultaneously keeping a good few inches between himself and Damian.
"Beat them, of course! We have to find a game they're not good at." Damian insisted.

Damian and Tim work together to find a boardgame to win against Jason and Dick, mainly because Damian wants revenge. THey use monopoly where Damian makes an actual Jail for Jason. After winning, Duck reveals that the whole ploy was for Tim and Damian to work together.
