Peter knew the dangers of falling in love.
It was difficult to balance Spider-man and Peter Parker—they're two completely different people with different lives. The chaos of mixing the two was not a thought Peter was fond of. Besides, love is hard.
If his history of girlfriends is not enough to prove that then I don't know what to tell you.
But of course, the world likes to make a mockery of Peter Parker despite all that he does for it. He was really beginning to love the mercenary. As much as he knew he should hate it, he didn't mind the idea of falling in love with him.
To hell and back as they say.

Summary
4 months after Vanessa's death and Wade is running out of new ways to kill himself. He just wants to end it all. To stay with Vanessa. One night while swan diving off of a roof downtown he is caught by the Spider-Man. Inexplicably Spider-Man brings him home. Spider-Man wants to help him. When he finds himself starting to fall for the little Spider he makes a break for it. He has to save Spider-Man from himself. And yet he keeps coming back. Can Spider-Man heal his broken mind and heart and help him move forward in his life?
When Peter sees Deadpool fling himself off a roof all he wants to do is help. He doesn't know anything about the man, other than he is a murderer but clearly there is something deeply wrong. He brings Deadpool home and tries to help him. He never imagined he'd end up falling for the merc.
Final part of the "Hold My Heart" series. You do not need to have read the past two fics to follow this one, as they follow Tony/Loki's relationship rather than Peter/Wade.
