In 1995, Bobby makes a deal with a shady magician with unintended consequences that reach twenty-five years into the future. In 2020, Julie is drowning in guilt over the death of her mother and Flynn is doing their best to help, but there’s only so much that can be done when one of their best friends has abandoned them. The unexpected arrival of three accidental time-travelers sends Julie and Flynn on an adventure into LA’s underground magic scene to find answers and make new friends, but enemies are lurking around every corner. Julie’s hand shakes as she picks up the wand. She shuts her eyes before twirling it timidly. Rose gasps as Ollivander claps his hands delightedly. She prises her eyes open and her lips part in surprise.
Julie knew this wand felt different. Swishing it had given rise to a warm golden glow inside of her but opening her eyes to see a flock of delicate, pastel coloured butterflies fluttering around her is almost too much to believe.
