Summary
Excitement filled Yuuri’s chest, and he released the pillow, letting it hide the flowers underneath, and crawled under the comforter to rest his head on top of it. He wondered if he would be able to sleep at all, keyed up from nerves and anticipation. He was not sure what he hoped for, but he wished that if he were to see someone once he closed his eyes—he wished that they would be kind and loving, and that he would be allowed to take care of them at some point in the future.
Sleep took him slowly, and as he drifted away, he was warm and safe, everything dark behind his eyelids.

Summary
Despite Valentine's Day being more than one special event, Chris throws a party in celebration focused the holiday of love instead. Of course, it also being his birthday has its own benefits, but it's that part of of February 14th that fills his heart with joy. The well-wishes and gifts are nice, but the company and happiness of those he cared about was sweeter than any box of chocolates.
As the party winds down, however, and Chris says goodbye to his guest, one of them lingers, his own focus on his best friend's special day and why Chris seems to be finishing the event off by himself. After all, no one should be alone on their birthday.
