Lily was furious, her hair all tousled and with unidentified stains on her uniform. The Common Room looked like it had been attacked by a tornado, and there were still two spots on the carpet that were on fire.
"Yes, Lily," replied James sadly, and Sirius had to hold back a laugh.
"How did you manage that?" asked Peter, who was trying to wipe the ink off the shirt of a distraught Remus.
James cast a small glance at Sirius, then they both looked away.
"Oh, that was difficult," he said.
"Mh, mh. Dark magic, best not to talk about it," Sirius prodded him.
Lily raised an eyebrow, skeptical, and James grabbed Sirius by the arm.
"Not pleasant at all, exactly. We'll never do it again, I promise." -
