Summary
He’d once tasted a similar pain long ago, but this blade had only grazed him then, and never once desired to leave its mark. It had sulked and begged forgiveness for its transgression, which Xie Lian had freely given. It had, after all, been an accident. Xie Lian hadn’t been its rightful target, and the blade’s killing aura had been tamed just before it struck, leaving him with no lasting effects. That day, there had truly been no harm done.
This time, however, Eming seemed to have driven itself into him entirely on purpose.
Gasping for breath amidst a sea of his own blood, Xie Lian struggles to remember what happened to him—and why Hua Cheng isn't there with him.

Summary
“Hi! Here is your…” Xie Lian looked up and outstretched his forearms to give the guy his order. His eyes met the face of what had to be the most handsome being (for this couldn't possibly be a human) imaginable. Sharp jawline, pointed chin, thin lips curled in a mischievous smirk, a long straight nose, strands of night-dark hair framing all the pale beauty of the cheekbones and cascading down his shoulders in slight waves, as if they had dried in the summer sun after a dive into the ocean, defined eyebrows raised in a high arch below the widow's peak...The man was either a god or the devil incarnate, making Xie Lian wish to both kneel in awe and sell his soul.
OR: Xie Lian feels like he finally obtains some control over his life, having recovered from his addiction and gotten a full-time job. He is still navigating his past trauma, but some important parts of his life seem to have faded from his memory. Hua Cheng, a famous streamer who never shows his face, gets his pizza delivered by the very person who has had more impact on his life than they know.

Summary
Shakily, Mu Qing signed, why do you know sign language?
Seeing him finally respond, Feng Xin’s smile came back full force.
For when I saw you again.
Mu Qing fixed him with the coldest glare he could muster. He didn’t know how to respond to such an idiotic reason, a typical Feng Xin mindless response. Fumbling in his coat pocket he pulled out his phone and hastily opened his notes app, refusing to acknowledge the reality of a Feng Xin knowing sign language.
You spent eight years learning sign language on the off chance we might see each other again?
Feng Xin nodded, as if it were really that simple, his expression open and filled with a familiar warmth that Mu Qing had not realised he’d missed so palpably. After losing his hearing due to a childhood illness, Mu Qing relocates far away from childhood friends Feng Xin and Xie Lian. Isolating himself in his own silent world, forgetting the world that he left behind, he is forced back into it once more with the reappearance of his friends upon entering university.
