Takumi glanced down and took his bottle of water. “I’ll be fine,” he said, finally, in some way, admitting out loud that he kind of wasn’t okay.
“Well, you have friends if you want to talk, so don’t ignore them, okay?” Tachibana advised, the cash register dinging as it opened.
Hey, Itsuki. Yeah, I just wanted to talk for a second? Yeah, so, I think I really might like Natsuki, but also I found out she might be sleeping with an old man behind my back the entire time she’s been hanging out with me and kissing me, so I don’t know what to do about it. Oh, and not to mention how I think I want to become a pro racer after I graduate and I have no idea how to make sure I do want that because racing over and over is starting to feel unsatisfying, and I don’t know the first thing about pursuing that career either. And let’s not forget that I think I might be able to look at guys the same way I look at girls because I can’t stop thinking about Ryousuke Takahashi and it freaks me out. Thanks man, good talk!
Yeah, right.
“Sure,” he answered, opening his water bottle. “I’ll get back to work, boss, thanks.”

Summary
His response to difficult situations is always anger, and he feels it bubbling under his skin already, but anger is the last thing Fujiwara needs right now. He focuses on his driving, making sure his foul mood doesn’t show through. They enter the city, and Keisuke starts looking around for a quiet place where he can sit Fujiwara and interrogate him. It’s 3 AM.
“What happened to you?” He winces at his wording, but it sounds better than ‘what’s wrong with you’.
Fujiwara opens his mouth, then closes it. He sighs. “Racing, I guess.”Series
