Takumi smiles to himself, imagining Ryosuke scribbling out a fountain-pen list onto a piece of ledger paper, knowing he’ll have to rip it off and start a new one because he’s thought of too much. Ink staining between his fingers, little marks next to words. His neck is bent but focused, his eyes a little less than 20/20 and farsighted, so he has to make an effort to see, and the feeling Takumi gets in his stomach imagining this laid out in front of him is too much. He was going to explode.

Yeah, so, I think I really might like Natsuki, but also I found out she might be sleeping with an old man behind my back the entire time she’s been hanging out with me and kissing me, so I don’t know what to do about it. Oh, and not to mention how I think I want to become a pro racer after I graduate and I have no idea how to make sure I do want that because racing over and over is starting to feel unsatisfying, and I don’t know the first thing about pursuing that career either. And let’s not forget that I think I might be able to look at guys the same way I look at girls because I can’t stop thinking about Ryousuke Takahashi and it freaks me out. Thanks man, good talk!
