"Kid, what's wrong?" The strange man with dark hair asked as Izuku struggled irrationally in his grasp, gaze wide and fearful- he kept glancing behind him- checking to see if his dad was still on is tail- wondering how long he had until he was found.
The words were coming out of his mouth in broken babbles, he could barely keep himself from crying and his entire body ached with pain.
"Please- I need- go!" He gasped desperately, body moving frantically and weakly in an attempt to free himself. Izuku felt the man make a move to steady his shaking shoulders, but that only caused him to struggle more urgently. Izuku could tell he was worried, but all the poor boy could think in his mind was how screwed he would be if his dad caught up to him.
This work is no longer being written/edited/added to. Thank you to everyone who did read it, I appreciated everyone's support but I don't feel a strong connection with the work or fandom anymore. Love and hugs from the author!

Instead of a single child, Shouta adopted eighteen at once. It was about then that Hizashi finally accepted that his husband collected children (and, yes, cats counted as children) like Pokémon.

Denki has a quirk accident while training with friends, injuring all of them and himself. He finds himself outcasted by everyone he knows. Recovery and forgiveness are long roads, but Denki doesn't plan on quitting anytime soon.
*** 5/29/2025: I am currently going through and updating some spelling and grammar issues throughout the fic, along with re-wording some things to help with the flow of it. I wrote this fic when I was 17 and in the last two years, my style has changed quite a bit in a way I feel is more comprehensive and I feel like it's time that I edit this. I'm also trying to get back into writing fics and I think this is a good first step. I'm hoping to perfect this as much as possible and make it worthy of the love it's received. Rain battered his face, soaking his feathers and weighing him down. His wings ached just from the effort it took to keep him in the air. His eyes stung, forcing him to keep them squinted. He had to keep going, he couldn’t stop. If he stopped, he would be dead. He didn’t want to die, not now anyways. He couldn’t die. Not when he couldn’t remember the last time his mom told him she loved him. Not when he couldn’t recall what it felt like to be held by another person. Not when Kacchan would think that it's his own fault. Izuku just couldn’t do that. He wanted to live. He wanted to fly.
His head cocked towards the side when he heard the low wooshing sound of something hurdling towards the air, straight towards him. His reflexes weren’t fast enough. That’s what he gets for panicking. He lets out an angered screech as the net wraps around him. And suddenly he’s falling. He struggles hard, gripped at the rope with his beak and talons, furiously flapping his wings. It's no use though. The ground catches him.
