Tango tries to not take it to heart as he knows Bdubs is more snappy than normal with his new situation.
“But I kinda do?” He says awkwardly. Bdubs takes his face out of his pillow to give Tango an indecipherable look.
“You know? You the nether born?” The skepticism in his voice is clear as water.
Tango’s red, pupil-less eyes widen hearing that. “Wha- me? A nether born?! Bdubs where did you hear that??” He laughs a little incredulous.

Y’know, it might’ve been funny if it had happened to any other hermit.
Exploring the newfound ancient city with Etho, Tango, and Impulse was supposed to have been a reckless yet fun time. They were only supposed to check out the city from a ledge up above, they weren’t intending to go down into it. Bdubs wasn't a fan of the place nor of the effects incurred if you caught the attention of the monster who guarded its treasure. All it takes is for them to spot a chest within reach that causes a change of plans, a terrible situation, and a split-second decision.
If rough respawns for his friends were the alternative, Bdubs could endure the dark.
