Clark felt his attention drift to the boy’s tense form. He could hear Owen quietly groaning, teeth grinding tight into each other.
A hushed, breathy, “No, no, no, no, stop, stop, stop, STOP.”
The words barely left Owen’s lips, barely even made it into the air, yet they were enough to make Clark’s heart wince like it’d been hit.
Before a stressful test, a newly awakened eleven-year-old Clark Kent notices a classmate who could use a helping hand. He realizes they might have some ground in common.

After a frightful nightmare, Jon asks his Aunt Kara for help and the Kryptonian warrior uses a melody of her own past to calm him down. After that, she discovers that the humans around her need as much help as him.
And also, she considers that perhaps she could use one of those ancient songs to find the courage to express her own feelings for a certain photographer...Chapter 5: The Song of Krypton.
“I do like you, Jimmy Flamebird,” she said softly, taking his hands in hers and doing her best to soothe him. “Right here, right now, I still like you.”
“Why?”
There it was, the question Kara had been waiting for all night. Taking a deep breath, she stared straight into his eyes and, with all the heart and warmth in her Kryptonian soul, began to sing:
