Izuku was standing on a rooftop at the ripe old age of 11, he only left a note for his mom, he had no friends or other family. He knew he'd be hurting his mother but doing this, but she hurt him once. "I'm so sorry, Izuku..." The memory of his mother shutting down his dreams played in his head.
He climbed up and took another step. There was a loud whoosh behind him, followed by a thud of the roof. Someone had joined him.

As a matter of fact, he had almost perfect hearing when he was born. He could hear the world whenever he wanted, and he never thought that it would be taken away from him.
He doesn't take things for granted now. Not since he was five, not since Kacchan took his hearing. He still remembers how it happened.

At the age of four, Izuku stumbled upon a strange-looking box in the trash. Usually, he wouldn’t rummage through trash, but he would make this time an exception. It was a small, gray box that resembled a rock. When he picked it up, it was surprisingly light for what he thought was a rock. He was really startled when the rock opened a blue eye. It was the prettiest blue eye he had ever seen! But it did nothing more than blink a few times before closing.
So, it wasn’t a rock; instead, it was a really cool mechanical box! Izuku’s four-year-old brain went wild over this incredible discovery, so naturally, as any four-year-old would do, he took it home.
