NGC Recs Rarepairs 🍐🍐
Fics where at least one (reasonably prominent in the narrative, usually endgame) ship is a rarepair - or at least I considered them such.
What I consider a ‘rarepair’ will vary depending on the fandom, but usually they are not canon. The fandom size and history will also influence what I consider rare. Poly ships are generally judged on the individual combinations, not the complete ship.
TL;DR, There is a lot of wiggle room here, don’t @ me. 🙃 Especially since they could have legit been rare when I put them here and a new trend took off and suddenly they’re in the top 10 ships for the fandom.

Basically, LQG gets transmigrated into a dogblood drama (the "dog-biting-dog" style melodramatic soap operas, hence "dogblood"), but just wants to cultivate and live happily with SY. If only these damn characters would get a hint and stop trying to drag him back into the plot!
Meanwhile, after being forcefully repatriated, SY uses all his superpowers as an avid trashy web-novel reader to try to predict what will happen and protect LQG from all the shitty tropes while also dealing with the realization that there’s been cultivation in the modern world this whole time!Not to mention the familiar-but-different faces popping up here and there…

There aren't too many positives about agreeing to be strapped to a comet, but one of the bigger ones is that Castiel at least manages to keep Jimmy asleep and unaware most of the time – so when Jimmy suddenly finds himself wrenched awake mid-battle he knows this has to be a bad sign.
