Summary

"I'm fine, Kakashi." The lie slips easily from his tongue. "I suppose I haven't regained full control of my strength just yet. My hand…" He holds it out in front of him to show Kakashi the trembling of his fingers. Kakashi breathes a sigh, now close enough to touch.
"I see," he says, reaching out with his own two hands to calm the tremors. The shock of his palms against Obito's skin nearly causes him to drop the act right then and there.
You don't see anything, he wants to say, the words simmering in his suddenly tight throat.
But he doesn't, because he's Obito Uchiha. And that eye-opening realization has transformed his tiny world, ripped away any shred of comfort he could have dug from this isolated shack and its strangely familiar caretaker. Obito slapped Shisui's hand when the boy tried to turn on the radio, so they continued in silence. "It's okay to be upset. You don't have to bury it with humor, and you don't have to hide it underneath shitty music." Obito kept stealing glances at Shisui, looking for signs of a breakdown, but he felt Shisui's hand on his thigh. It was a sign, however small. "I don't know what the hell we're going to do, but I'll figure something out, okay? Fuck. This is a disaster," Obito mumbled, the admission loud in the silent cab. Shisui squeezed his thigh, so he placed a hand over Shisui's and linked their fingers.
