Summary
Not all men are created equal. It’s been a lesson drilled into his head since that doctor's visit, but it’s always been a prominent feature in mankind’s history. Black slaves to white men, the riots for queer people, woman's rights. These, at one point in time, were all things making mankind diverse but divided, such as differences in power. At another point in time quirked and Quirkless made people divided as well. Now it’s the infected versus the survivors.
Or, after being cut off from the world, Izuku tries to survive in the epicenter of the outbreak, Musutafu. Hope is fairly dim, but when a group of Class 1-A students accidentally meet him while looking for gear, hope may get a bit brighter.

Summary
Izuku, quirkless Izuku, is going to try out for the UA entrance exam. He’s going to break himself apart fiercely fighting his way in, he’s going to bend the rules so far they audibly creak in protest, and until the day comes that it all ends, he is going to save every person he can. Sacrifice life and limb, to the letter. He’d cut off an arm without thought or hesitation to save a stranger from a scraped knee. After all, why would a dead kid need arms? That stranger is going to have their knee a lot longer than Izuku would have had use of that arm.
Or
Izuku discovers he has a terminal illness. So he’s gonna make the most of whatever time he has left. Because now more than ever before, every second counts.

One day we may have the technology to create Quirks, or even gift them to others. Perhaps you will one day achieve your dream. Perhaps one day you could be even more powerful than Katsuki Bakugou.”
He said it so confidently, and those words were like lightning in Izuku’s veins. All he could do was stare at the doctor. “You… you think that’s possible?” he whispered, hardly daring to get his hopes up again. “Is that… something you’re developing?”
It doesn’t take much to be set on a different path. For Izuku, it was the day he met All Might and was told he could never be a hero without a Quirk. Later, when he runs into his old pediatric doctor—Dr. Tsubasa—while being treated for a burn, Izuku encounters an opportunity. There is another man in the burn unit, and between the burned man and Tsubasa, they might know a way for Izuku to acquire a Quirk… for a price.
Sometimes, the encouragement you need can come from the wrong source. Not all men are created equal, but Izuku Midoriya is about to even the playing field.
