Summary
“It’s a particularly warm afternoon when even the air seems to move in a languid manner that finds Xiao staring down at Aether’s sleeping form on the marsh’s dry grass. He’d taken off his scarf and bundled it into a makeshift pillow, but the entirety of his braid was left exposed and had amassed an impressive amount of grass blades.”
When Xiao finds Aether having succumbed to a nap on the Liyue plains, and Paimon shortly following suit, he decides to watch over the sleepy pair as they rest. After waking, Xiao offers to pick out the grass from Aether’s braid, to no objection from The Traveler.

"Do you even know how to take care of a Fae?"
"…." Varka glances towards the lantern, where Flins is probably lazily sprawled in his fire form. "I mean, anything can be learned once you put your mind to it, right?" He shrugs.
"……"
"Aether, let's go find some book about Faes to help Grandmaster Varka out." Paimon suggests, her tone a dry little thing. "I'm worried that he might feed Flins a whole log of wood thinking that it'll make him feel better."
The traveler, once again, sighed.

Wanderer thought poetry would help him understand his feelings. Instead, he got five years of gay panic, three notebooks of "why is he like this," and a tomato-related criminal record.
The traveler thinks it's cute. Wanderer disagrees violently.
"You're fucking dense."
"Go fuck yourself."

Summary
“Ren,” the soft-spoken name, made the cat stop dead on his tracks just as he was about to follow the group. “We have to talk later.”
Aether thought that if he didn’t voice his thoughts, he was going to combust. It was so brief that Aether might have imagined it, but Wanderer’s cat ears dropped for a second.
“Do whatever you want.” he responded in his usual unattached way. He didn’t outright refuse him, which might be a good thing.
It wasn’t as if Aether wanted to have this conversation either.
