“Nora,” Alex whispered urgently, leaning over the small table where she was scrolling through her phone. “I need to tell you something. But you have to swear you won’t tell anyone. Like, legally-binding secrecy.”
Nora didn’t even look up. “If this is about how you can’t find the break room peanut butter, it’s in the cabinet, top shelf.”
“No!” Alex groaned, pulling out the chair across from her and sitting down. “This is serious.”
That got her attention. She locked her phone, her eyebrows raised. “Alright, Claremont-Diaz. Spill.”
Alex hesitated, glancing over his shoulder one last time. Then, in a dramatic whisper, he said, “I’m fake-dating Henry Fox.”
Nora blinked. Once. Twice.
Then she screamed.Or Alex Claremont-Diaz is an intern in the Legal Department at Okonjo-Fox Publishers and somehow he ends up fake dating his very cold, very attractive boss, Henry Fox during a high-profile gala.

Summary
After they had all had an inadvisable amount of alcohol, it had seemed like a good idea. A great idea, even. Emboldened by June’s comments and Nora’s low whistle upon seeing him, he found himself going along with it.
The 'it' in question was a ridiculous pair of hot pink, velvet booty shorts with the word 'Juicy' emblazoned in rhinestones on the back. Paired with a t-shirt that Nora still had from some frat fundraiser, Alex had to say it had a certain charm to it. Sinfully tight, they left extraordinarily little to the imagination, hugging his body like a second skin. If he bent over at just the right angle, his ass was almost fully out. Just there for other people to see.

Or, after Alex walks in on his girlfriend cheating on him, he seeks (questionable) counsel from June and Nora, which ends in him wearing a slutty pair of hotpants and hitting the club. Most people are very into it, including a certain leggy blonde.

Working in HR is just about as lively as Henry expected it to be when he finished his education and went straight into work. It wasn’t his first option—then or now. But it pays the bills and appeases his family enough to let him pursue writing on the side, and that’s the only qualification he’s ever really been concerned with.

His head lowers an inch closer to Alex, and his next sentences are said in a lower octave, words coming out slower with a slightly tantalizing drawl. There’s a twinkle in his eyes as he looks down at Alex.
