Mickey and Ian have serious feelings talks while walking around the block and eating and playing Hello Kitty Uno at a local coffee shop. Mickey wants to take Ian on a fancy vacation but is spiraling about how their passport applications might get denied because they are felons. They get their passports and go to the Dominican Republic. Ian is upset that Mickey hasn't been cleaning the litterbox of their cat, Glitterpuss, a name Mickey foolishly let Franny choose. Mickey decides he's ready to have a kid but Ian wants a little more selfish time to themselves first so they go on a couple more couple vacations. Then they go to Costa Rica with their 3-month old.

Mickey’s breathing evened out, and soon Ian could see that he was finally asleep. He looked down at him. He always loved how peaceful Mickey looked when he was asleep; how his face smoothed out and didn’t have that perpetually pissed off look. It made him look younger, softer, almost like he hadn’t been raised in the shithole that was the south side by his jackass of a father. But he had been, he’d lived through awful things, and he was still soft. And for that, Ian loved him even more.
“You’re beautiful,” he whispered reverently. Brushing Mickey’s hair out of his face, he traced his eyebrow softly so as to not wake him up. He loved his boyfriend so much, he couldn’t put it into words. So he said the next closest thing.
“I’m gonna marry you someday.” Ian felt his heart swell with the thought. “It might have to wait a few years, at least until we can move out of this shithole, but I’m gonna do it.” He watched Mickey sleep, watched the way his chest rose and fell with each breath.
