They're back at Shane's cottage now after that stressful visit to his parents where he distinctly remembers banning all usages of this word. But unfortunately for Shane, Ilya has not let it go.
"Ilya, you're not allowed to use that word again. It's so gross," Shane reminds him, still not fully recovered from the sheer embarrassment that, of all the words in the English language (and there are so many words!), that was the one Ilya chose to say in front of his parents.

Summary
When Ilya Rozanov discovers The Sims 4, he does what any reasonable person would do, creates himself, creates Shane Hollander, builds a perfect house from memory, and begins fixing the situation.
This includes (but is not limited to) trapping Shane’s ex-girlfriend in a windowless room because she “kept escaping the pool.” and having Scott Hunter in his true form(i.e. in the Elder age stage).Shane wakes up at four-thirty in the morning with several concerns.

When Luca Haas(the person who introduced sims to Ilya) does not answer questions fast enough, Ilya turns to reddit and Tumblr, gaining a following who are slowly realizing some coincidences. -

Summary
“We could…be friends, maybe.” Shane’s voice was small, hesitant on almost every sound.
“Wha–” Ilya’s reply was less of a word and more of a stupid, confused noise like he’d been punched. A punch probably would’ve caught him less off guard than what Shane actually said.
“Y’know, text about the hockey gossip? You call, I answer? Friends.”
Something terrifyingly bright exploded into Ilya’s chest. Something dangerous, that felt like maybe it could keep him warm through the summer in Russia, through the chill that permeated his childhood home no matter how warm it was outside.
“And also we like to suck each other’s dicks,” he quipped, trying to deflect.
“Fuck off, Rozanov.”

Drunk and young and stupid, Shane and Ilya choose to be honest - just a little bit. To lean into each other, instead of apart. What happens if they choose to be a little bit brave on a Vegas rooftop in 2011, and keep choosing it?

It was a dangerous plan.
Perhaps a foolish one too.
There were lots of things that could go badly.
Things they probably hadn't even thought of yet.
And Rozanov held all the real risk here.Or a marriage of convenience fic that starts in 2009 and changes the rest of the story.

Summary
Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov have been best friends since they were twelve. They were attached at the hip, as much as two straight guys could be.
Everyone accepted that Shane and Ilya were just being Shane and Ilya.Or: Shane and Ilya think they know where to draw the line between straight best friends and whatever the hell they keep doing.
