What are you? A god?”

Summary
Written for tumblr user nautilicious for Springlock Exchange 2014. The prompt was "Any pairing traveling to see some kind of festival. Could be for fun, case, honeymoon, by accident, etc. Bonus points if said flowers make it into romantic or sexual escapades."
The last part sort of happened but things got away from me haha. The Lilac Festival is a real thing that takes place on Mackinac Island, Michigan, USA every year. All the places I wrote about are real except the B&B Sherlock and John stay at, which I made up. The only vehicles on the island are emergency vehicles and snowmobiles, which some year-round residents own. Most traveling is done by horse or bike! It's one of my favorite places, which is why I jumped at the chance to put it in a fic. I hope you like it!
(Also this is only the second time I've attempted to write a sex scene, so forgive me if it's atrocious!)

It should have been a simple thing, really. Greg, with a little help from his magic, usually had a knack for figuring out anyone's favourite flower. But no matter how many blossoms he encountered on his daily walk along the old borders of inner London, Molly's favourite eluded him.
Of course, random acts of accidental magic, interference from amoral fairy folk, and the reappearance of an ancient evil might have had something to do with his lack of luck, too.

John sipped his tea in amicable silence with the stranger who had read him like a book and who, apparently, also read Portuguese.
Mrs. Hudson walked by once or twice, but did little more than warm his tea and cast a sweet smile his way. This must be why the door to the shop didn’t read “book store” but rather “Mrs. Hudson’s Reading Room.” She clearly had a respect for the sacred quiet of reading.
Alternate first time meeting fic. Written for the Springlock Gift Exchange on tumblr. Prompt was the simple and elegant "Reading". So in honor of that, I replaced Speedies with Mrs. Hudson's Reading Room. Then I waited for two men who never fail to meet, to make their way to one another.
