Basically, Takemichi wants to deepen the bond they had; even more deeper than what they had and to do that, they need to be more honest and open with each other. Maybe by sharing their childhood experience or the traumas in their life—which Takemichi had a lot to share with—or maybe just a good bonding between them without gang violence.
