The only problem is that his thoughts and fantasies are not entirely contained within the confines of his own mind...

Welcome to Of Living, Loving, and the Strangest of Bedfellows - A Tav's Guide to Fucking Across Faerun: Sordid Coast Edition
Let's just call it ATG for short, shall we?
This hingeless idea is inspired by the amount of choices presented to us for "romantic" (or purely lustful) engagements in BG3. I'll be sticking close to canon but adding my own flavour and embellishments, as well as sneaking in some Raph because it's not fair that we can't have him in the game. Haarlep is divine, and infinitely better, but we deserve *both* so that's what I'll give you.
This is my *first smut* so please be gentle but also give me your honest thoughts, I'd love to hear feedback on it so I can improve.
The different pairings will appear throughout the chapters, so some might show up a fair amount later but they *will* be there I promise. Suggestions may be considered.
I view this Tav as an urchin whose first priority is survival, and second is enjoying what it means to live beyond surviving. Hurt, comfort, angst, love, lust...every passion for life I can add, I will. There will also be use of magic, items, and spells, so please see notes for context.

Summary
Volo has released another book, but unfortunately it seems it doesn't live up to Grazilaxx's exacting standard. Under the guise of an invitation to the Society of Brilliance, the wizard finds himself interrogated by the society's most abrasive member. Grazilaxx is determined to ensure that the Society's good name is upheld, and that they won't have to go through the terrible trouble of scrubbing bits of wizard out of the carpet if some vengeful creature showed up to correct those mistakes instead. It certainly had nothing to do with any concern the illithid has for Volo's safety - that would be absurd.

An unexpected hero who had come to his rescue, and an even more surprising encounter in the relative safety of the mindflayer's lair...

Summary
Volothamp Geddarm is wandering the battlefield after the defeat of the Elder Brain, seeking any hint to a greater story that might grace sell his books far and wide.
Meanwhile, The Emperor lays on the brink of death, having once more found a way to cling to survival after his former allies cast him aside in favour of a long lost Prince.
Shared history, from a time long ago when the illithid guarded the city and its inhabitants, is far from enough to bring the pair together. But Fate usually has more interesting ideas for Volo, and who is he to turn down the opportunity of a good tale?

Volo shrugged apologetically, a slight smile reaching his eyes as his moustache curled upwards with the expression. “I should consider myself an ally now, I hope, else I chose a poor patient to administer these potions to.”
“You would make a terrible cleric.”
“I’ll make a note not to change my career.”
“You’re certain your career as a writer is better?” If tentacles could form a smirk, that would be the expression playing upon the illithid’s unusual features.
“You make for a dreadful patient.” Volo frowned, for a moment making a motion as if to leave at the offence.

Summary
In which two minds meet.
Tav finds herself in the Emperor's realm, closer to him than she had imagined being. She cannot deny her curiosity, and even though the literal mindflayer before her should mean nothing but doom, she also can't deny the care he has shown.
Perhaps he has his own agenda, but so does Tav. Rule 4... How far is she willing to pursue that curiosity? Why does he seem so kind? And why is he looking at her with an expression that can only be described as passion and longing?
