Summary
in some ways it was a gift from the universe to bring Tim Drake and Bruce Wayne together. In other ways it was a cruel joke; to make the man who can barely say ‘I love you’ the father of a boy whose biggest fear is being unloved.

Summary
Jason’s jaw flexes. “You think he’s gonna stop?” he asks, voice low and dangerous. “He won’t. Men like that— they keep taking until someone stops them.”
He leans closer, “I can give you the gun.”
Tim’s stomach turns. “I can’t, Jason,” he says quietly, forcing each word.
Jason studies him in silence, unreadable.
“Then let me,” he says finally.
····•····
“What did you do?”
The words hang in the air, soft but loaded, a warning and an accusation all at once.
Jason watches him, his expression blank and unflinching.
Tim’s voice rises, ragged and raw, shaking with the force of all he’s repressed. “WHAT DID YOU DO?”
•··········•··········•
OR: Tim keeps getting himself kicked out of schools (that little vigilante thing sort of gets in the way), and Jack Drake starts taking it personally. Their already-strained relationship devolves into abuse. Jason offers a helping hand. Tim's parents don't survive.

Summary
“Dad!” Tim froze where he was, ice creeping up his spine. He’d had his anxieties coming home, but deep down he’d known that his dad didn’t like to wake up before nine or ten. And Jack had definitely been drinking last night; Tim had seen the bottles before leaving for patrol. Liquor usually kept him drowsy. Come to think of it, his breath already reeked of the substance.
Jack didn’t seem to be holding anything, and as far as Tim could tell, nothing in his room was misplaced. What was going on?
Jack’s glare became even more vicious. “Where the fuck have you been?”

5 times Tim doesn’t tell anyone his secret, and 1 time they find out.

Summary
Tim’s ears were assaulted by noise for a moment when his comm finally connected to someone else's. He couldn't really believe it, nothing felt real. He could vaguely hear people talking over the rushing in his ears; Batman’s deep tenor, Nightwing saying something that Tim couldn't comprehend. They went silent immediately when Tim's gasping voice filtered over the line.
“-hurts, it hurts, it hurts,” He sobbed, voice cracking on a whine, “please-” his pleads were cut off by a gasp.
“Red Robin, where are you? What is your status?” Batman demanded, a frantic air that could only belong to Bruce hidden underneath the typical Batman growl.
“I tried- I tried to tell you but the comms were off! You turned them off, you turned them off-!” he choked out hysterically, more blood splattering from his mouth as he coughed, hacking up his inside in the suffocating rubble.
TLDR: Red Robin gets trapped under a building

Summary
“I—” Tim’s voice cut off as he sucked in a breath. “You have a doctor, right?”
Jason blinked. Of everything he’d expected from the call, that question hadn’t even crossed his mind. “What?”
Labored breathing. Then, in a shaky attempt at sounding calm, “Someone must treat Hood’s wounds when they get too bad. I need someone discreet.”
OR:
In the middle of the night, Jason receives a call from Tim begging for help with a broken arm.
It turns out, Tim’s dad is the one who broke it.
