The man slipped into the bench next to him, resting his arm on the backrest, close to Eddie's shoulder. "Haven't seen you around before," he said with another smile that from up close seemed practiced in a way that put Eddie on edge. "I believe I would have noticed you," he added, eyes wandering down Eddie's body again, even more shameless than before. He was oozing sleazy charm in a way that Eddie would have been into if he was still in his stupid college days. Now however he was in his stupid investigative journalism days.
Tell him to fuck off. And his stupid annoying symbiote days. A symbiote who was being in an extraordinary grumpy mood tonight for some reason.
(Eddie is in a club, investigating for a story. Venom isn't happy with the way Eddie goes about this. )

Eddie sighs and fights back a smile as he takes it. This is not the time to find that sweet. “Right. Thanks, buddy.”

Eddie dropped the chocolate syrup into the pile of junk food and frozen potatoes and gripped the shopping cart with stubborn determination to deter the tentacle slowly creeping down his arm.
“No! Remember what happened last time? Pumpkin guts everywhere. A Charlie Brown Massacre. Women screaming."
Yes, Eddie. Fun. If we cannot have Ho Hos, we will have fun.
The relentless symbiote had a point.
