“My Abuela said it,” Silvio insists. “She said you have to wear the hat, because you have a pale ass so you’re going to get skin cancer and die before Lance even wakes up.”
Keith looks between the children and the hat, too confused to glare, sweaty and horrid from pulling weeds beneath the scorching sun. “What?”
“That’s wrong,” Nadia complains, and yanks her brother down to her level to whisper the correction in his ear.
“Ooh,” Silvio amends. “Tía Veronica said you have a pale ass. My Abuela said you’re gonna die.”
OR
When Lance is fatally wounded during their final battle, the blue lion enters a deep hibernation with Lance inside. Unsure when or if he’ll wake, Keith is forced to wait and watch over him in the company of the people he fears most: Lance’s family.

Summary
“You haven’t talked,” Keith said simply, hesitant for a few moments before scooting a little and patting an empty space on the bed to signal for the other to sit.
“I haven’t talked? What do you mean? I’ve talked all night long! Wait a tick- you actually like me talking a lot, don’t you?!”
“You did talk all night long. But you didn’t talk about what you actually wanted to talk about, did you?”
For a fleeting moment, Lance tensed, but the moment passed by as quickly as it had happened, his shoulders going slack before a somewhat resigned yet amused expression made itself known on his face.
“You’ve gotten sharper, samurai. I didn’t know you could get sharper.”
Something in Lance’s voice was tugging at Keith’s heartstrings - in the worst way possible.
or Lance addressed what he said to Keith when they were stranded in space and said things they didn’t mean. (Perhaps Lance had underestimated how well Keith had gotten to know him, too.) (inspired a lot by this thread)

Summary
When Lance was whisked off into space to become a Paladin of Voltron, it wasn't like he had time to pack - not even something as essential as his ADHD medication.
What started as a few missed doses turned into weeks without treatment—weeks of spiralling focus, irritability, impulsiveness, and shame. He's known he needed help, but only after a training mishap forces his secret into the open does he finally admit the truth.
Now, with no access to Earth’s pharmaceuticals, Pidge and Coran do their best to synthesize substitutes. But medication isn’t one-size-fits-all, and with each new concoction comes a new wave of debilitating side effects: insomnia, appetite loss, emotional whiplash, physical discomfort, and more.
Still, Lance is a Paladin of Voltron, and the universe waits for no one.
