Katsuki has heard of how Blood Riot is undefeated. How he roams the earth as if it is his. Mountains, seas, forests, even the glaciers have bowed before him. Katsuki will not let him have the desert too.

Summary
“Again.”
So they fight again. And again, until the sea goes from blue to black like bruises on their cheeks. Until their bodies are covered in enough sand to be built from it. Until they abandon the knives at their belts and lay together under finely plotted stars and laugh into the soreness.
“I’m Red,” the stranger says, leaning close enough to kiss. “Least that’s what my friends call me.”
“Oh yeah? What do I get for being one of your stupid friends?”
He smiles. His teeth shine like sharpened pearls. He pushes himself to sit. Sand trickles off his back, and he nods toward a ship docked by the sea.
“I’ll show you.”
Or, Katsuki washes ashore with a fragmented memory of himself and the red-haired pirate who keeps appearing in his dreams. Drawn to the records of a new sailing ghost ship, he heads for the sea in hopes of finding an answer.

Eijirou laughs and it makes Katsuki’s teeth grind together in irritation. “Did you?”
“Yes!” Katsuki snaps. “I don’t need you, I don’t want you, I don’t miss you. I want you gone. I moved the fuck on, Eijirou, and–”
Eijirou’s hand is around the column of his throat before he can even finish the sentence. He isn’t squeezing, Katsuki can still breathe fine, but the action alone has him frozen. It has him knowing his place alongside the demon and it is frightening.
“You can’t,” Eijirou says slowly, voice empty and flat. “You’re smart, Katsuki. Don’t act like a dumbass.”

With a final fractured crunch, the Nomu crushed Bakugou’s remaining gauntlet. The liquid stored inside splashed across the dusty rubble, painting it in the dark varnish of last chances and lost hope. Bakugou bit back an agonized shout as shrapnel from his equipment carved into his arms. His head turned to the side so he could watch his best shot at defending himself crumble away like it was nothing.
“I think we both feel better with that gone,” the beast mused smugly.

Bakugou loses Kirishima soon after graduation from UA, and the grief is difficult to overcome. Lucky for him, the appearance of a new villain seems just the right distraction to keep him occupied...

Summary
The fearsome Oni, the Red Demon, was known for terrorizing the countryside, razing and pilfering villages. The goddess Inari in the form of Mitsuki was able to seal him away where he has remained for many centuries. Inari's foxes and some priests were tasked with the upkeep of the Red Demon’s prison, however, over the centuries they have grown lax, the Oni no more than a faded myth. The Red Demon is able to break out of his prison and takes revenge on Inari's followers with the intent to end the goddess. He tracks down Katsuki, one of Inari's most bristly yet beloved foxes, and something about him piques the Oni's interest. What better way to offend a goddess than to defile her most precious messenger?
