Summary
Winter's home may as well be a million miles away. Foeslayer's home may as well be a million years in the past.
She's selfish, and he's too selfless for his own good.
Both of them should be dead and neither of them know how to navigate this strange and frightening new world they've been thrust into. They should want nothing to do with each other—but the ancient Nightwing is not quite ready to dismiss Winter, who is all too similar to the family that she can never see again.

Summary
A "fix it" work of sorts, for Winter. I wanted post-book 10 to face the conflict of the way he was left with, as well as how that affected other characters. For me it hurt and was just painful to think about, and for that reason I would like to write as realistic and natural a conclusion as I can make for them. It'll take me a while to finish this, because every 1000 words is a huge ask when dealing with topics like this. When it's finished, I hope to reorganize it a bit to be a much smoother read.
I made this series primarily not just for me but for a friend who felt the same, who relates to Winter so strongly that I hope it helps him as much as it helps all of you. Please do enjoy.

Summary
This is an extension to the vase scene from book 10, everything happens exactly the same except instead of rushing past the vase scene to continue on with the story, we linger on and see the aftermath of that entire confrontation. I wrote this because the original scene felt rushed and unfinished so this fic serves to give that entire sequence proper closure.
