Summary
During the Long Night, Ignis becomes interested in the ancient civilisation of Solheim, to which he can trace his ancestry.
His theory is that because Solheim revered fire and turned against the Astrals, an investigation into Solheimian ruins could be the key to uncovering a way to battle the Astrals and save Noctis from the crystal and from his fate.
His research leads him on an expedition into one of the known Solheimian ruins in particular - the Pitioss Ruins, which were used as some kind of training ground in the past.

Summary
If Dino was going to fall in love – which for the record, he wasn't planning on, ever – the last person he'd choose would be the Lucian Royal Advisor. He'd been doing the journalism gig for ten years now, so he had a good sense for how history played out, if he did say so himself. Whatever fate Noctis Lucis Caelum was heading for – marriage or war or something worse – Dino knew Ignis would follow him. Die for him, maybe.
He liked being around Ignis, but when he was gone... It'd be nuts to waste time missing him, right?

Summary
During the ten years that Noctis is absent from their lives, Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis consider what it means to try and survive in the ruined world without magic, healing, and importantly phoenix downs. In time, it becomes less about living, and just about trying to survive until their King returns. In contrast, Noctis comes back to his friends realising the power of what they have given him and learns further of what they are still prepared to give before the dawn. The last King of Lucis knows he must return the favour.

Summary
Three years into the Long Night, Ignis departs from his newfound Lestallum home without warning. Sick of infantilization from his family and intending to wait for Noctis' eventual return upon the shores of Cape Caem, he shuts out the rest of the world and is content to wait in silence.
But in this world of ruin, nothing is quiet for long.
