Summary
A parallel universe where the humans decided to turn their back on the Adepti after thousands of years. They built up a kingdom and started witch hunting all the Adepti. Sometimes the royalty or the upper-ranks in the army would force the captive Adepti and the human they cared about to fight with one another till one was killed as their sickly entertainment.
By casting spells on the human, they were tricked into believing they hated the Adepti they were fighting against. The spell would only wear off when one of the two hearts no longer beats.
Yanfei and Hu Tao had tried very hard to escape from this unfortunate fate. But luck didn’t seem to be on their side…
