He was exhausted. He was tired of being the only one trying to make things work, or at least a bit less awkward and ill fitting, and he was done with feeling like an unknown and unwanted source in their barely shared home.
So, two years into their arrangement, their marriage, and nearly two and a half years since he lost his parents and his brother to an unchangeable tragedy, Riki asks Jake for a divorce. As soon as the older stepped in past their entryway, and as he avoided his eye contact for the hundredth time.

Summary
Jake was a great alpha.
He was kind, sweet, and he was very much a gentleman; he held doors, listened intently, remembered the small things, didn't undermine someone's voice. Not to mention that he was also funny and knew what omegas liked and what they didn't like--he was the type of alpha anyone could've liked.
Riki noticed this. He always had alongside the rest of the team.
And he was sick of it.
OR;
Riki's had enough of letting Jake pretend to be an alpha, because he knew that he'd be better as his omega.
