But anyway, it's an odd thing to know someone inside and out, especially when you wanted nothing to do with them. Max had a stupid way of breathing when he was asleep, and a stupid way of balancing his fingers on top of his knife blade when he was chopping. He likes RedBull and doesn't quite like George, and his preferred way of eating eggs is scrambled but left runny.
