Summary
On one hand, Alec realizes that murder isn’t always an option. However, on the other hand —the hand that normally wields a weapon— he’s been raised his entire life to know that killing is almost always not just an option, but the better option. Especially when you’re cornered and Alec is definitely cornered.
So he prepares his options with a side of murder.
Though technically, he reminds himself as he takes another sip— it would be more of a tactical move than murder.
It’s with that in mind that he drains yet another alcoholic beverage he doesn’t actually like and wipes his mouth on his sleeve. Wondering to himself just what it’s going to take to end the cycle of misery he seems to have caught himself in. First, he’d been mistakenly infatuated with Jace and now he is stuck with his brother’s sister. It is almost too much for one person to bear and Alec is very tired of… everything.
“Is this seat taken?” A voice asks and Alec raises his head, intending to explain that he quite enjoys the invisible company that he’s keeping. Then his brain stalls and his words are stolen as he stares into the handsome face of the most gorgeous being Alec has ever had the honor of seeing.

Summary
“The idea is that you open it,” Alec prompts, fond impatience sparkling in his hazel eyes, “That way you get to find out what’s inside.”
He doesn’t quite manage to pull off the casual tone he’s obviously aiming for, and Magnus can see the eagerness and trepidation stirring under the playfulness of his words.
Which means that this – whatever ‘this’ is – has to be big.
Magnus had anticipated a quiet night in to celebrate their anniversary. Alec, however, has something important to ask him.

Summary
There's a fun rule at Pandemonium. Well, less a rule and more a game. If you dance on one of the poles for a song, you get a free round of drinks. It doesn't matter how good you are, and you can even do it more than once.
But the better you are, the more drinks you earn with a dance.
Jace, Izzy, and Alec are very good. They haven't paid for drinks at Pandemonium for years.
