Having patrol in the wee early hours of the morning was never a problem for Shouta. He didn’t mind being awake when much of the city was asleep. The unsavory sort were easier to deal with when the crowds of onlookers were tucked in bed, lowering the risk of collateral damage.
It did, however, piss him off tremendously when his friends dragged him to the bar three hours before he had to suit up.

“Alright, are you sure you want me to do this?” Yuuga asks. It’s not that he doesn’t want to because he does, but he’s so worried about messing up and upsetting one of the most important people in his life. What if it’s some kind of test and he fails? Yeah, okay, that’s a tad outlandish, but he can’t stop worrying about everything that can go wrong.
“Hey, I’m serious,” Hagakure says gently, as if sensing his distress. She turns around to look at him. “I trust you with my hair more than some random hairdresser.”
“You shouldn’t,” Yuuga says before he can stop himself.
“But I do.”
Yuuga takes a moment to breathe, unwilling to start cutting until his hands have stopped shaking.
