Hudson had never doubted who he was. His life had always been easy to explain, organized into simple categories: work, relationship, future. Nothing out of place.
Then came the filming. And Connor.
It wasn’t immediate. It wasn’t obvious. It was a quiet discomfort, a thought cut short, an attention that slipped away without permission. Hudson kept smiling for the cameras and repeating memorized lines, living a version of himself that still made sense.
Until, on a day far too ordinary to be remembered, he realized he no longer watched the scenes the same way. That his gaze always returned to the same point, over and over. That certain questions appeared without warning just to linger.
Hudson had no answers. Only the strange feeling that this story was just beginning.

Summary
It was Hollander’s absence that had created this void. It wasn’t that Ilya had even cared, before. A quick thrill, that both knew would end. But then, Hollander had hijacked Ilya’s life, refashioned it in his own image, shaped it to fit the empty space he left in his wake. It was terribly cruel, the immeasurable impact that human beings could have on one another. Even more cruel, to walk away from the mess you had created, as Hollander had. At least have the decency to make it mean something.
After a nervous collapse, Shane Hollander returns home to the Foothills of Alberta, only to be brought back into contact with the man he left behind, six years prior.
